  1. LG Chem

I've used it but it finishes out like poo. Cant imagine why anyone would buy it. If you're trying to save a buck Arlon or Gamut are much better choices by far.
  2. Anyone successfully calibrate axis alignment on a FC8000?

Correct. They are used on large jobs to keep the cutter better aligned with the print. The media can be skewed slightly in the cutter or worse it can and will be stretched in the laminator. The intermediate marks help keep everybody on the same page...at least that's how it works in the...
  3. Anyone successfully calibrate axis alignment on a FC8000?

PMG: I have been leaving messages for their tech support for months. No return calls. Ever. Jason, I'm using both Wasatch and Cutting Master. Graphtec is passing the buck to Wasatch. Wasatch is "Looking into it" and Fellers is doing some R&D on their end. FWIW Fellers tech support is...
  4. Anyone successfully calibrate axis alignment on a FC8000?

I'm having an issue where when there are intermediate registration marks, the cut path is off alignment. If it's just the 4 corner marks it's dead on. Graphtec support is non existent and the manual is difficult at best to make English sense of. If anyone has done this I'd love to hear...
  5. Graphtec Test Pattern Files

Perfect. Thanks! I actually just realized I didn't put in the post what graphtec model I have. Thanks for reading my mind!
  6. Graphtec Test Pattern Files

I cannot locate my Graphtec CD. Does anyone have a copy that they could send me the test files off of? I'm trying to calibrate the registration marks and the manual is referencing test pattern files on the CD. Thanks in advance!
  7. Hooking up my Roland 20ft away from my printer..Problems!

There are several variables, especially if you have not been using the serial port. Be sure the serial port is enabled in the Roland. Be sure you are using a good serial cable. Verify that it plots via serial port without the USB converter. Ensure that your OS identifies the USB converter...
  8. Hooking up my Roland 20ft away from my printer..Problems!

My Camm1 Pro has both parallel and Serial. I have a Serial to USB converter that works fine. Be sure to enable the serial port on the plotter.

  11. Print Server question for pros

Let me get this straight, you insult America, then post about staying on topic and getting along? Keep on showing those colors Buddy.
  12. Print Server question for pros

Wow. How about this, I'll be happy to help anyone who calls or emails me. I will not waste my time in an America bashing thread. I am glad you have shown your true colors though. Peace
  13. Print Server question for pros

BBQ, I understand what you are saying, and on a microscopic level you are correct. Especially if the "device" you mentioned is the USB driver chip inside of the "device" I mentioned, in which case we are both correct. My point is that you are speaking so far above the average person that you...
  14. Print Server question for pros

Correct. That's not what you said the first time. You said: I stand by my statement. EachNeedsPrintServerDevice=False Understand something, I post here to help people, not to impress anyone with what I know. We can talk binary or hex all day long but that does not help anyone here...
  15. Print Server question for pros

Not true. I outlined in the post I made about this that the Keyspan US-4A (Not a "Print Server") can host 4 devices. I use them in my shop with all of my USB devices that I attach to via ethernet. Very true. I would not recommend doing this if you are not absolutely sure what you're doing...
  16. Print Server question for pros

The short of it is you need a USB server, not a print server. USB Servers simply "serve" the USB port, not the device. Just a bridge if you will. The client machine (RIP) is responsible for the drivers. which is what you want. I made a post on this a few months back. You can search for it...
  17. Print Server question for pros

Fuzz, call me at 877-644-9727 if you still need help with this. -Ben
  18. How to make a majillion $

Tec, 3M had a promotion this month that if you bought a roll set of IJwhateverthetexturedsurfacestuffis they would throw in the roller. if you're going to buy the media anyway, saves you $100.
  19. Remote Office Printer

I guess I misread your post the first time. I thought you were looking for recommendation. Your post is confusing though. You say you have "I have 1 wireless desktop, 1 wired desktop and 3 wireless notebooks" But then you say they are not networked? Is your printer a network ready printer...
  20. Remote Office Printer

Network them all. I just bought an HPC6380, and I highly recommend it for general purpose use. It's networkable, even wireless, and it just works. I like for things to just work. Also it has 5 ink tanks and a replaceable head. CMYK & Photo Black. It prints FAST. As as fast as my Canon...
