  1. Canon Colorado 1650 FEEDBACK

While this is true. (I can o my speak for Canon production printing aus ) The techs are dedicated to a handful of equipment. So they are always working on the same equipment. Canon also supply manuals on the correct procedure to replace every part, it's pretty neat. But also the contract...
  2. Canon Colorado 1650 FEEDBACK

Service contract on the Colorado us much cheaper than the arizona. I'd get at least 1 year. If not get 2. Basically acts like yout warranty. Always expect something to happen. Think about this. It's been In transport from it's original assembly. Then it went to local storage. From there back...
  3. File server question

We bought the DS923+ (which is the newer one of yours) Exelect piece of equipment. We loaded it with 2x 10tb WD Ultrastar drives. Glad you like it!
  4. Canon Colorado 1650 FEEDBACK

Im not attacking your business model, dont get me wrong. You cannot look at the printer as it is. You need to look at it as a package. (This is how our colorado purchase went (the pricing is made up as i don't remember what i paid) Printer costs: $80,000 Maintenance contract for 5 years...
  5. Canon Colorado 1650 FEEDBACK

you didn't remove yours to get the extra HP ?
  6. Canon Colorado 1650 FEEDBACK

If your business model cannot afford to pay for a service contract for the printer you're buying, You cannot afford the printer. If you're running 3x 570's, then yeah you're in colorado territory. Then you should not complain about paying for a maintenance contract or you should re-evaluate your...
  7. Canon Colorado 1650 FEEDBACK

If you complain about service access, then you simply cannot afford to own one. A colorado isn't a toy printer. It's a production machine. IF someone goes wrong with ours, i call Canon and they're here with in 2 days with replacement parts etc. We have our service contract for 5 years. If we...
  8. Oce 257 white ink curing

Ink curing is all done on the printer. Oce UV inks cure about 90% off the printer then 10% in 24h. Can't speak for aftermarket inks.
  9. Discussion Onyx X22

Is this when it only shows up half the preview? mine will go grey halfway though. i hae a 1440p ultrawide so scaling is 100%. can't change that :( Onyx has all sorts of bugs. I tell them all the time.
  10. STRATOJET FLATBED PRINTER

The colorado is a no brainer. While you're at canon, check our their flatbeds. They are better than stratojet. Mimaki flatbeds are pretty good also. the epson is also great, just more entry level. I was impressed with the quality.
  11. Assign spot color to lc, lm

Like mentioned. Print with ICC profiles off. so in your CMYK image. 100% cyan will print 100% cyan only. Only problem with Light inks is that it's tied in with the standard colour. So Lc and C is the same channel for example. For this to work, youd need to create your own ink restrictions...
  12. Review Best Management Software?

    SEO. cheap backlinks.
  13. Computer type

I should have been more clear. how much difference was the 5950x vs 7950x with onyx. But i see you use the 5800x Id be interested with the 5800x3d for onyx. unless you're running 8 or more RIPs with onyx, 16 cores is useless.
  14. Computer type

Well if it was in RAID 1 with 2 drives, then yeah it'll have redundancy.
  15. Computer type

How much difference did it make with onyx?
  16. Computer type

Price doesn't come up for me as it's US. But the price differences would be due to the quadro GPU. Generly speaking the quality if components will be better in a workstation. psu, cooling. Ram. Etc. A lot of pre builts skimp on parts for "gaming" PC's to be more competitive on price. What...
  17. 257 inkset profiles

He use to be here. Got banned for some reason. Great guy though, very knowledgeable.
  18. Computer type

I try to avoid the "gaming" stuff for work. Specwise its the same, but i've found support is better for workstations. I would avoid the 2nd option as it has no GPU. It really helps for graphics, just doesn't need top end stuff - diminishing returns.. This would be similar (slightly weaker...
  19. FC9000 (ERROR) E04017 - Scans mark & Takes it home

Im having this issue which is really frustrating. Im using a Graphtec FC9000 & Onyx X22 cut server It's set up to cut Segment Area Correction every 0.5m The page is set to the max 5000cm (5m) The problem: It'll cut about 15-16 meters of vinyl, read the next mark, then take it straight home...
  20. Computer type

Above specs is plenty for many years to go. This is the model number: 6E2J9PA Im sure you may find other brands etc, but IMO look for those specs. If you want to budget a little more, get an i7 CPU (make sure 12th at minimum) RAM is what will allow multiple programs at once with a lot of...
