  1. Deflected nozzles?

Deflection isn't terrible, is it affecting your prints? The kind of be all and end all cleaning for heads is hooking a syringe of cleaning solution to the manifold and (gently) forcing it through. I'd imagine there's a video of it out there. Changing the drain lines, i'd use the tubes from...
  2. Roland VersaWorks Re-Install IP HELP, please!

are they on a network, or a direct cable between them?
  3. Roland VersaWorks Re-Install IP HELP, please!

The IP addresses have to be different, by at least 1 number, so the one on the printer should still be accurate.
  4. Roland VersaWorks Re-Install IP HELP, please!

install intercon net-tool (google it, it's free), that will find the printer and its IP address, plug the number into VW and you should be good to go.
  5. PECK and versacam VS

did you get the firmware for the VS or VS-i, because the VS-i is only MAX2, where the previous is MAX. Also, in service menu->ink menu you can set the current ink set.
  6. Roland VP540 cut is not lining up with the print. Please help!

Cut is probably right where it should be and the print likely moved. The cut alignment cant be adjusted more that a few mm, so when it's out further than that it's likely a print issue. Clean your encoder strip, make sure you get the part behind the heads on the right side.
  7. Sp-540 scan motor error 0050 0040 Help pleazz

thats probably the cut carriage cable with its clear plastic guides. They jam up usually from increased friction due to ink dust on them. Cleaning them with iso can help, but if they have a kink or crease they should get replaced. the guides themselves are cheap, and the cable between them...
  8. PECK and versacam VS

what are you testing? might be able to answer it for you.
  9. Installing VersaWork on new Hard Drive?

No print driver needed for the network based machines, versaworks will handle that on its own. Ip address will be the same, since it is set on the printer itself. If you don't know it, a free program called intercon net-tool will find it, and list the IP address. If the computer and printer...
  10. Change Pinch Rollers

replacing the wheels on the outside 2 rollers are easy, pop the c clamp, take out the pin, and switch. Take note they are tapered, and have a dot from a marker indicating the side that faces away from the center. Changing the whole arm is a chore. you have to partially remove the square bar...
  11. adobe premiere pro

    right click, run as administrator?
  12. L Bearings replacement instructions

Im with Bobby on this one, the bearings i replaced were completely jamming randomly, to the point of needing some encouragement from a hammer to move again. The drive cable on these machines has a plastic coating on them, sometimes that coating breaks. If it happened to break where the cable...
  13. L Bearings replacement instructions

are you sure you need to replace the linear bearings? it's pretty uncommon for them to need replacing. That being said i've done it twice, but it was very clear that was the only issue.
  14. XC540 Head Issue - Require help on this one!

Physical alignments in service mode are a likely candidate to reduce that blur around anything containing cyan, but that level of overspray is ridiculous, no amount of alignment will fix that.
  15. Need ideas to try

0105 is usually the fault of the limit position initialize either not done properly, or something amiss with the head lock or limit sensor. If it's able to set up and clean, the limit initialize is probably good.
  16. VS-540 woes

when you are running these powerful cleans, look at the drain bottle. Ink should be dumping into there at an alarming rate. If it's not, then the cap isn't sealing to the head properly. the cap mount itself is adjustable, so sometimes they get knocked or just wiggle out of position over time...
  17. Roland SOLJET XC-540

possibly. fire 'er up in service mode, and in the service menu->ink menu->change inktype you can set it to whichever ink is currently in there (eSOL MAX i think is the option) and it might be pretty happy without having to fill the ink again.
  18. Cyan everywhere

how does it look if you print an actual job? that versaworks test print is always pretty gritty in the solid colours.
  19. SP300i - Cleaning Cycles

Not adjustable from a system point. You can adjust how often it cleans during prints, but when in standby it'll fire up for those quick cleans at least once a day.
  20. LIMIT POSITION not easily separating tool carriage

the heads separate themselves, which is why in the video it is effortless. If the head is not locking into place, the limit position initialize will fail 100% of the time. The head will only lock if a) it is moved into the correct position and b) the lock is functioning. I've never replaced a...
