Only thing that might be different will be the color and grade of material. I used to hate when you get copper ones off the truck to finish one you had half way done with silver. So I guess to sum up as long as they are the same color should not be a big deal.
I was going to put 90% also so if we both thought that then yep 9 out of 10 prints that would have had banding will not with the ValueJet for example. Thanks Matt.
If you don't have any vinyl to test just take the blade holder out and run a test anyway. That machine does not have sensors to see if it is loaded or not so don't need vinyl to test to see if the holder will go up and down. Make sure you take out the blade holder so not to tear up the...
While waiting to find out your state law you can use a tub of cat litter. Just poor it in and it soaks it up. Works great until it gets full. I've not had to deal with where to put it once it gets full yet
Don't know the answer to how long but want to say both machines are great and if you go with the Versacamm you will be very happy. Can't go wrong either way really. You can always do like the poster above and if demand hits and you see your cut vinyl time cutting into your print time you can...
Rolands will be a printer/cutter in same machine. The PrismJet is printer only. You would need to get a compatable cutter to go along with it as a 2nd piece of equipment to do the cuts. You can do some searching on here and not saying the Rolands are not good they are great but the two...
Yep as far as work flow goes the 2 machine set-up out performs the one unit print/cut system. The only reason I could see getting the one machine system is only if I didn't have room for 2 machines. If you have the room go for the separate printer / cutter systems.
Might try and call Scanvec and see if they will let you be one of the beta testers. Not sure if they are open to letting anyone in or not but can't hurt to try.
If the photoprint that you have is the Mutoh Edition of Photoprint which is SE I'm pretty sure you won't be able to do cutting of your printed images. You may have to upgrade your Photoprint to the DX version. Cutting Master really has nothing to do and will not work with the Mutoh.
Now if...
I posted my general response up top a sec ago but thought I'd throw my offical opinion in the mix
Pro Series Graphtec is what I'd put my own money on if I was looking.:thumb:
You can't go wrong with Graphtec, Roland, Ioline, Gerber or Summa (heck even Anagraph, now APDevices). All 6 are manufactured to specs in which an actual sign business would require. PCuts and plotters like them have their place (in the landfill :Big Laugh ) no but really they are ok hobby...
Welcome to the board AlexT. (In honor of your governor I'll make a silly quote here)
I hope you will be able to - [Takes knife and throws it pinning Alex to the wall] "Stick around"
Brief overview of inks and types of printers:
1. Thermal Resin : A thermal head presses a resin-saturated ribbon down against a very smooth print surface and heats the ribbon, transferring the resin ink to the surface.

Bob I feel is right on the money. I think you are just sending it the wrong way or missing a step that needs to be done. Its actually quite simple once you realize the steps involved but until you nail it the first time it won't seem simple.
What cutter and printer combo are you using by the...
