  1. Help - Problems with one Magenta bank loosing 20-50% of nozzles...

Well I pulled off the damper and changed it ($60 bucks here in Canada!) I was able to pull some ink through, but with alot of fight. I took the ink line of the damper, and un-hooked the cliper aperatous and was able to pull ink easily with the syeringe. However, when I put the clip on...
  2. Help - Problems with one Magenta bank loosing 20-50% of nozzles...

Thanks for the info - yea we are reasonablly high volume, probably 50k+ square feet have gone through the machine if not more. I'll go grab the damper tomorrow and try the swap. hopefully that fixed the problem. As for the seal on the cmyk joint point, is that an easy switch? Lastly...
  3. Help - Problems with one Magenta bank loosing 20-50% of nozzles...

Also- just for reference, I am running OEM inks, and have 2 nozzles that don't fire out of the entire 1440.
  4. Help - Problems with one Magenta bank loosing 20-50% of nozzles...

Its almost like clock work - a year ago around this time I had a jv3-160 that was having nozzle crap out on my cyan cartridge. After alot of fiddling around and loosing a few job i traded up to a JV33 with a 1 year warranty. It runs problem free until about 2 weeks before the warranty is up -...
  5. Profiling JV33

My suggestion - drop the coin on Onyx. If you need to wait a bit, give them a call and get a trial for 45 days. Use it, do some jobs, save some coin and get it. You can get poster shop for around $2000 if I recall. We have the Jv33 as well and its worth EVERY penny.
  6. Does size really matter?

Odds are that the 188 sqft/h is in 4-pass mode at 360x360. You'd probably be lucky to squeeze 60sqft/h our if your doing quality prints.
  7. JV33 inksets SS21 or ES3?

I have the JV33 running ss21 and love it. Profile is never an issue - and dry time is awesome. The print is SO durable compared to other inks we've ran in the past. It can get a bit stinky when you are doing a few hundred square feet all at once!
  8. Anyone else have the heaters act-up on their JV33?

For me its not so much a problem I guess - just weird. You learn to work around it I suppose. Do you also get this weird sort of fading in the print every 16 passes or so (when in 16 pass mode). Its as if the saturation is fading in and out every inch? Usually on black.
  9. Does size really matter?

I would imagine you could get it cheaper than that even. I got one of the first JV33-160's that came out for under $17k, I'm sure this much more entry level machine would be far cheaper than tha no? and huge second on the 51" point... what the hell were they thinking?
  10. Anyone else have the heaters act-up on their JV33?

It seems I NEVER have to turn on the pre or print heater. I typically leave the post heater at 48c, and the others are always hot on their own even though the indicator says the heater is not on? Unforunatley I have bought my machine in the US, and moved to Canada so I have no service plan...
