I've tried Century and Baskerville, they came close but the ball in the 2 and 6 don't match, and the "stem" in the 2 didn't match either. I tried whatthefont, but it suggested a bunch of fonts that don't match.
Any help or attempt to identify is.... very much appreiciated!
Pretty dry in the shop today. Now that I think about it, could it be heat? There's a heater 20-30ft at the top of the shop bay I work in....
Haven't heard of that yet. I will see if we have that available from our suppliers.
I'll try this again... I lost patience when I tried this. lol
Do any of you experienced community members know how to combat this?
Pre-curl prevantative measures? Post-curl de-curling techniques?
I had to take a call and I came back to find my board was no longer flat. There was nothing printed or applied to this. And yes, before I get called out on...
Hi,
we have been calling local companies, even the company that sold us our Rastek H650 if anyone could provide us with coolant for our printer.
We have recently drained our coolant when we replaced our print heads and coolant pump. Anyone have any information vendors about purchasing coolant...
So I haven't been able to fix this issue yet, but I have a work-around that has been working so far.
Since I can't cut directly from Finecut (Mimaki is attached to a computer that we copy/output to a hot folder), I can't try that recommendation from you fine folk.
Work-Around
I'll create my...
I'll try upgrading to Rasterlink 6 if it's free. Everytime I print something with registration marks, I've had practically perfect cuts, it's usually when I just contour cut non printed vinyl is where I run into this issue. I will try setting up my file with a CutContour spot colour and put that...
I've been having an off and on issue with the contour cutting vinyl on our Mimaki cutter. I would send artwork through and release the job to be cut. The machine will feed the correct amount of material and then start cutting horizontal lines in a condensed area and sometimes overlapping the...
My situation is still the same. Do you show a lot of banding when printing? There are some slight banding on some of our prints, and on others it's not noticeable. The default settings I usually use are 12 pass, bi-directional print, overprint:1. and fast print are selected.
I haven't been able...
I'm having a very similar situation with my company's JVC30-160. I've wanted to check parts to see if everything is okay.
Is it always the same nozzles that aren't firing? I believe mine has been consistent in terms of nozzles not firing. We did switch to 3rd party ink cartridges and missing...
We have recently done this, but I will definitely check again.
Aaaaaaand, now that you've mentioned this, the machine has been asking me if I want to extend the expiry date on one of the ink cartridges that are almost empty. I will see if this fixes my issue once I switch those ink cartridges out.
I use to be able to queue up jobs one after another and walk away and the Mimaki CJV30-160 printer would print them all one after another.
I came back to work after a weekend and I don't know if someone else was playing around with settings or not, but after I print a job the printer will go...
I found Centennial Light Italic fairly close. No concave in the serifs though... and the E is slightly off... as well as the T... I hope you're able to match the font you're looking for!
I wish I were the one who ordered it. I would have added an extra 6'. But I was told I have about 1'-2' extra... so I'm just going to assume 1' as worst possible scenario.
Awesome! Thanks for the reply. I will try that. I can't do too much trial and error, because I have around 1' extra material... so one mistake can be costly. Is this the temperature settings you use for heavier weight material? Or do you also use this for 13oz/15oz material?
Hi everyone,
I use a Mimaki CJV30-160, and I normally print on 13oz - 15oz scrim banner material. We ordered a 20oz banner for a customer and I don't know if it would be okay to keep the current temperature settings. Pre 30 | Prt 30 | Post 42 (all set by the gentleman who previously owned the...
It might be a pre/print/post heat setting issue. You can ask your supplier what the recommended heat settings are for the media you are printing on to. Might even be that the media is not compatible with the ink.
