I agree with Dan. Design can be a fair chunk of change over time. And with Jill, who said..."never design for free" -- my experience is that when you do it "for free" once, they will resent you for charging for your time in the future.

use a switch or router...assign your printer an IP address within range of your network (Dlink: 192.168.0.xxx)...Configure your printer port to that IP address....should work.
