If you only plan on cutting, not engraving, the Chinese ones are decent, you get large bed sizes and powerful tube's, which is the main requirements for laser cutting. Engraving requires better hardware and as a result the Chinese machines need to be run very slowly to compensate.

Have you set your surface position, or are you using the proxy sensor?

It takes the same amount of time & materials to make a compliant sign as it does to make a non-compliant sign, why not do it correctly, I'm sure if they got caught the first thing they would say is "that's what the sign guy sold me, he's the expert, not me"

How big are they? Spot graphics or multi panel ?

We engrave tons of these signs, this is absolutely not acceptable, red/white material needs to be engraved twice to remove the pink staining from the text. Also the texture is indicative of running the laser at a low dpi to lower the engraving time.

It's not that the ink is thick, it's that the circuit board design is raised, so the thickness is inconsistent.

Actually, now that I think about it, why wouldn't they just get the orange colour custom made by 3M, I'm sure they use enough of it. Also, how would you kiss cut vinyl with that heavy embossing? The knife on the summa is spring loaded so it wouldn't have consistent blade depth on that stuff.

I wonder how many people they have running these cutters, I think they have around 10-12 f1612 cutters.

They are not too far from us, our grimco tech told me that they bought all their summa f1612s from them, but they don't allow the grimco tech to touch them, they have an in house guy who dials them in and keeps them running perfectly.
