  1. Suggestions 30" Vinyl

I can cut down our 60" material which is the similar spec but with the added feature of air-egress liner instead of a smooth liner. We stock and cut in Cleveland, so likely only a day away. We primarily stock 54" so easily could do 27" and I can bring in 60" to cut down to 30" each. Our...
  2. Ricoh TF6251

Assuming it is a 5x10 with Ricoh Gen 6 heads? CMYK+WW? 4 heads total? A 5x10 Fluid Color with four heads sells for around $135K plus $5K installation and training and shipping, so your price is in range.
  3. Cheap Canvas

I've got 100% polyester which is used for mass production of online art and custom maps via ecommerce stores. It doesn't have the 'knotty imperfections' of a poly-cotton canvas, but for the average person looking at it, it looks great. 59"x164' rolls are only $286.67 plus shipping. Stocked in...
  4. Rough or concrete print media by the yard

email me your address and I can send you a hand sample of our high-tack that also has a high coat-weight of adhesive allowing it to really dig into all sorts of surfaces. A 54"x150' is only $300 and you can use it for any application when you are done with this job.

I like to assume that is a good thing? If so, share a picture!

  7. Best wall mural media

Depending on how textured the wall is, you could use Retac (smooth, canvas, linen, sand textures). I can send you a hand sample to see if it gets enough grab. A thicker-coat weight product like Walk&Wall would stick just fine. It has a textured sand-paper like finish and a lot of removable...
  8. Best wall mural media

Try Retac. It is thicker, more opaque, and less expensive than Phototex
  9. HP Latex Ink Price Increases in Canada

I can't help you in Canada, but the new Roland XP printer is really fast and the ink costs are only $.10/ft2 on average. If you have a lot of volume, a Colorado is a good call as well where you'll see ink costs at $.08/ft2 or better (USD)
  10. Vehicle window perf issues

Perf comes in a few forms: Monomeric (cheap) perf used to be rated for 1 year but now everyone who makes it claims two years. I believe they do that mostly betting on the fact people won't bitch if it doesn't go for 2 years. This product is cheap and great for shorter term perf applications...
  11. What laminator should I buy?

Just received notice Kala is upping their prices 10% effective this Friday, May 9th, in response to the 10% current tariffs for the EU countries.
  12. What laminator should I buy?

No...not WHILE you are laminating. If you webbed material up pretty straight and you start to see it drift after 100 feet or so, then when you cut everything out you do the calibration and the next roll you'll be good-to-go for 150 feet.
  13. What laminator should I buy?

If it is a Mistral, then you have it. Turn the power off on the front (the LED lights should still be on), make sure nothing is in between the rollers, and then press the "M" and "foot pedal" buttons at the same time...the screen will say "CAL" and the rollers will very slowly go all the way...
  14. Need Help GF219 or Alternative

I take it you really like 6mil?
  15. What laminator should I buy?

I've sold laminators since I was in college. Don't skimp. For a little bit more, you can get a Kala or a Seal Base and those laminators, if taken care of, will last 10-20 years with little to no issues. A new Kala Mistral (top heat assist up to 140 degrees) is an awesome machine as it is the...
  16. Any advice for two sided sticker with adhesive on front for auto or store front inside mount

My favorite adhesive is called Retac Duo...it is clear with one permanent side (on the print) and one removable side (window). The adhesive "wets out" really well...by that I mean it can be applied by amateurs, and it will end up looking perfect. The Retac adhesive is very easy removal with...
  17. Any advice for two sided sticker with adhesive on front for auto or store front inside mount

It isn't very difficult to do....we've got a blockout media where you can print double sided and a great and easy to apply perm/removable clear adhesive. If you can't do it in house, I'm sure I can get a customer to spit them out for you.
  18. Getting small bubbles under laminate

wow....I've never really seen the trail bubbles off of solvent, but if you are laying down that much ink maybe it could happen. If you can add 120 degrees of heat to your rollers I'm pretty confident it will go away. If not I've got a higher coat weight laminate that would likely do the trick...
  19. Need Help Canon Colorado - White 3 layers.

I'm pretty confident you'll need to design your layers in PrismaGuide and then send to Onyx. I'll call my guru and get back to you.
  20. Getting small bubbles under laminate

show a picture. What type of printer are you using? bubbles that 'trail' ink are usually from some of the older UV printers where you can really feel the ink's thickness....and when you go from a solid to no ink coverage, it steps down and leaves a bubble behind. You would benefit from a...
