the only thing you can do is get some high-temperature silicon from an auto parts store and, of all things, a razor blade and fill the cracks. You will not succeed and trying to make a roller on your own. You can take the roller off your machine and send it to a company to have it recoated...
We are relatively stuck with an extra 220 rolls of this awesome paper. Prints great solvent and latex (and UV). Dries really, really fast with solvent. If you still use TriSolv and have to leave your prints out in the open for a few hours to get the prints entirely dry, then you'll love this...
You can find cheap heads on the internet, but those tend to not live up to the quality of the heads Roland sells. I'd strongly recommend using a technician to do something like changing a head as if you do just one thing wrong, you can instantly fry the head. I would, however, encourage you to...
UV ink costs are all over the board. On a conservative basis, I'd say you should expect to pay around $.08/ft2 for your ink usage. If you get into profiling, you can cut that cost by nearly 40%. The inks are good for about 3 years outdoors without lamination. The inks are incredibly scratch...
I'm sitting on a container of canvas for exactly that type of application. 100% polyester. Prints well, looks great. 59"x164' rolls are $286.67. Stocked in Cleveland. We don't have test rolls but it works very well.
I've got an outstanding range of 7 year polymeric print vinyl films with 5 or 7 year laminates to match. Made for us by Drytac in Toronto. Matte or Gloss, perm or high-tack adhesive, air-egress release liners. Our adhesives can be applied in temperatures down to -5 degrees Fahrenheit.
The...
The other thing that most people don't know on a GFP is there is a clutch on the release liner take-up. If that is tweaked too high, then the release liner takeup will spin faster than the rollers and cause the laminate to release from the liner way back at the supply shaft.....the result is...
I'd love to send you information, pricing, and specs on the Fluid Color flatbeds with the Ricoh Gen 6 heads. Our new units have room for three rows and up to 8 print heads in them with the linear motors. We can absolutely keep you under $150K as well. Mark Snelling 216-903-8313...
If the laminate travels to the right or left after X meters, then the nip is off and needs to be reset. One side is lower than the other and that is the reason it travels. I'm unfamiliar with the EasyLite laminator, but there should be instructions on how to reset the nip.
That's really interesting. I can see where the law would make sense, but it also could be like finding someone who has never driven a car before and handing them keys to a Ferrari.
As a Roland distributor, I've never seen Roland run and hide from a customer. We've had a few difficult situations but Roland always ended up doing the right thing in the end. You have the industry's best warranty and it should be exercised in this situation. Email me if you want the Roland...
You'll see several chats in this forum about the Briteline perf causing problems. Their liner is not as good. Continental Panorama One is a GREAT price at under $400 for a 164' roll for up to two year performance and their liner doesn't appear to give anyone fits. I stock it in Chicago.
I very rarely sell multiple brands of anything, but for flatbed application tables I sell the Colex and CWT. The Colex is for people who don't want to mess around with assembly and have a truck-height loading dock and no problem moving the unit into place. The CWT takes some cost out because...
