I just switched over to a new computer and was able to load my 3,000+ (640 MB) archived fonts with just a few clicks from my Suitcase Fusion 3 FontVault. I had made a couple of back-ups several months ago...before the old system went down, but man...what a lifesaver. It has an auto archive...
I saw an earlier post about creating a QR code for my website and I found a code generator that outputs in vector format...very cool with lots of possibilities. The only problem is I don't have one of those fancy gadgets that can read a QR code.
Could someone please read this code and PM me...
My computer tanked last weekend and I just loaded my CS5 on a new system. I'm still using Windows XP, but for some reason I see two buttons that are completely missing. Instead of the buttons, you can actually "see through" the Illy window onto the desktop background.
I've numbered the...
I know it's a day early, but what to heck...
I had never heard of this young gal until today while browsing You Tube. She does an absolute knock out version of Danny Boy here:

Perhaps you caught it on the news that the last remaining WW1 Veteran passed away yesterday. Truly a sad moment in history.

So who else is sitting around the computer running on auxiliary power?
My generator took a dump last fall so now I have a car battery at my feet hooked up to an inverter. It's just enough for my Internet "fix" every so often, and to check email. Gotta keep those orders coming in...
Did a little cleaning yesterday and organized the things on my desk. Kinda reminds me of one of those "Where's Waldo?" things.
Well...what do you think?
Seriously...I'd drop dead from thirty feet away if it were really mine.
I used to be a victim of "organized chaos"...but...
I'm seriously in need of making changes in my operations. In an earlier post, I asked if anybody used methods of lean manufacturing.
After searching the web for where I should begin, I found a method called 5S (that's the number five and the letter "S").
Check it out...
Since most of us here on the forum are manufacturers, to one degree or another....how many of you are using lean manufacturing concepts?
If so, in what areas do you use them?
Thanks,
Jim
This trademark is on the box of my business cards. My local printer outsources them, but I'd like to know who prints them.
They are a lot thicker than any business card I've had anybody else print. The box of 1,000 cards measures 18 inches long.

Okay...so I have this customer who's dinked me over for the last time...but they are also one of my key suppliers for a particular product I use. Giving them the axe will be a little more painful than most customers, and so I'm going to give them one more chance but only after a credit report...
As a tool and die maker in a former life, I've always enjoyed knowing how stuff was made.
