Gerber .plt files are different than generic .plt files and you will probably get mixed results if you get any results using anything other than Gerber software to do the conversion. Gerber used to give out, or sell at reduced prices, layout stations with upgrades as an incentive to upgrade...
If you're doing production with software that is designed for Windows, you're going to be best off using a good Windows computer. As stated above, the cost is not much and is probably less than the time spent so far trying to make the Mac work if you calculate your shop rate for the amount of...
I'm a big fan of Flexi and for most things it's great. The big thing is training. If you're comparing it to something that you know well, like Illustrator or Corel and you haven't been trained on Flexi, you'll get frustrated. If you're doing cut only, you can use the plug in from Summa with...
The temperature sensor is on the print head and if you're getting temp errors and it's within spec, then your connection to the head is bad or the head itself is bad. It's very easy to get the cables inserted incorrectly on those if you don't know what you're doing. That can fry the head, or if...
You can try cutting both length settings in half, this will give you tabs that are half the size and twice as many so you still have the stability needed to cut the rest of the shapes out. First, go in to cut line pattern and set it to 1 and save this. Then go back in and change the Type to...
The marks are generated by the RIP. The printer just prints what is told to print. In Flexi, just set up the job in Rip and Print on the cut tab specify the XC as your cutter and Flexi will generate the right marks for your XC
Pressing pause bypasses the heater warmup. If you wait till the heaters are at the set temperature it will start automatically. If you print before theaters are at temperature you could have print quality issues.
Good luck
I dint think the ink on the bottom of the head is a huge red flag, but I would be looking below the head for a solution at this point. Start with flushing position adjustment, then check the thing from the caps to the pumps. Make sure all joints are tight. Then check the pump to make sure it's...
This is a problem with communication between the main board and servo board. You can try unplugging all of the cables from the servo board (keep the cables that connect the main board and servo board plugged in) If you get a different error, then it's something downstream from the servo board...
It sounds like your ink may be growing mold. Is this dye sub ink? You may need to flush the ink system. Your ink manufacturer probably has a cleaning solution for this or a recommended solution.
Good luck
Have you done the feed calibration on the banner material that you're having the most problem with?
Also some banner material trends to stick to itself, so try unrolling the material before the printer has to pull it. Same thing if a full roll is too heavy for the printer.
Have you replaced...
Will this be backlit? If so make sure you evaluate the print in the same conditions.
You might want to use a translucent or transparent film. If not the 1105 should work fine.
The manifold is the part that you replaced on the printhead. There's a gasket on the underside that seals the manifold to the print head. Make sure that's installed correctly.
Also, there should be an o-ring in the bottom of the damper. Make sure that's in properly as well. They can become...
