  1. Pan face vinyl bubbling 2 months later

Ok - this might be the problem. It came packaged in a wood coffin and I needed help removing and setting it on the worktable. I lettered it immediately after removing the sheet.
  2. Pan face vinyl bubbling 2 months later

So basically, I used the wrong vinyl and I should be squeegeeing a lot heavier? I used 751, can I try that again if I use a flat surface and squeegee harder? Signheremd you were right, probably put it on with light pressure.
  3. Artwork troubles maybe Vector Doctor can help?

OK - update. Here's what I have from clipart. Just waiting for Johnny's pheasant to fly over...I can't find the buck I want (in this logo or in real life). Would prefer him to be looking to the left but I'll see what the client says.
  4. Pan face vinyl bubbling 2 months later

It's just regular 3M vinyl, not translucent. I didn't poke it, I will run back down the road and poke one... Darnit. I thought I was better than that. Is it more important on the pan face than say a vehicle to really squeegee it down? First time I had a problem but I don't do these often.
  5. Wrapping? A Metal Box 4x8

For sure use wrap film. I made this error in the past and regretted it LOL
  6. Pan face vinyl bubbling 2 months later

What did I do wrong? I don't remember exactly but I don't think I wet applied this Burgandy vinyl. Only the burgandy is bubbling not the gray. The pan face sat here in my office for a couple weeks before I opened it and lettered it so I don't think it was outgassing? I don't remember if there...
  7. Artwork troubles maybe Vector Doctor can help?

The good news is the client said she's OK with me using clipart. She figured I would come back and say it was going to be an issue. Johnny is drawing the pheasant for me! The rest I'm going to try and find similar clipart. It sounds like they will be OK as long as I use the correct species for...
  8. Artwork troubles maybe Vector Doctor can help?

I'm waiting to hear back from client. I think I'm going to just clip art it the best I can. We have several of these very similar looking logos for different clubs in the area and none of them look the best unfortunately lol Thanks Vector Doctor! I'll try you again next time!
  9. Artwork troubles maybe Vector Doctor can help?

Nope, has to be a pheasant since they buy a bunch of them then let them loose to kill them...I just sent it to the Vector Doctor, I'm hoping he speaks English and can help LOL
  10. Artwork troubles maybe Vector Doctor can help?

I usually go through Ignition Drawing on a very rare occasion I can't do it myself. But I don't think they are understanding what I need. Am I best to just find clipart for this or is the Vector Doctor a bit more "understanding" of what I need? This is a hand drawn logo but I'm using it for...
  11. Transfer Express Deal FYI

Was told about this deal from a business I work with. We both ordered an additional heat press to get the deal...its a no-brainer if you order a lot of transfers...
  12. "No More Walk-ins" - Good Idea, or Terrible Mistake?

Gino that is super interesting! I've been wanting to do an online store for some time now. I could definitely put that under a different name. Heck, I could have multiple stores...
  13. "No More Walk-ins" - Good Idea, or Terrible Mistake?

This is exactly why I steer away from walk-ins. The $25 job just cost you 20 minutes of fishing stories and will be another 20 when they pick-up. For this reason, I like my pick-up area.
  14. Estimates & Invoices

100%! I told that exact same thing. He's been learning a few lessons this summer LOL
  15. Estimates & Invoices

Be careful with hourly rates vs. "per job". My son learned this over the weekend. He has a landscape business and gave a estimate for moving stone and putting fabric under it, then moving the stone back. Once done, it was close to the hours he calculated and priced the fabric per square foot...
  16. "No More Walk-ins" - Good Idea, or Terrible Mistake?

I only lock my house if I leave for a few days and at night when I go to bed - I'm very good about locking it at night. A couple of my friends don't even know where their house keys are. IDK, seems normal to me LOL
  17. "No More Walk-ins" - Good Idea, or Terrible Mistake?

I have a camera pointing on the table (it also beeps with motion when the door is opened) and most of it is custom so unless you have the same last name and your son is the same number on football, you would have zero reason to steal my hoodie or my fathead. I have a camera pointed at the...
  18. Inflation

Oh yes! We always love a good juicy story about "characters"!
