1. How long have you been doing this? From your question it sounds like not too long. Hey not a bad thing, everyone has to learn. I’m not knocking you (or any one else for that matter)
2. Educate yourself! Calandered vs cast. Removable vs permanent etc etc etc
1. You put a calandered vinyl on top of a cast. Calandered vinyl shrinks more than cast. So you are in effect “pulling” on the cast vinyl with the calandered. The bubbling you are getting might just be that you wrecked the underlying wrap!
2. 651 is a PERMANENT ADHESIVE!! More that likely...
Hey Cordell
Just curious, why can’t you get 751 in time for your install? Most vendors that carry Oracal should be able to get it to you next day! If not look at getting a new vendor!
As far as cost goes, the amount of vinyl you are using to black out that chrome strip 651>751 might be what...
Single pole
Customer doing the install
What type of pole?
Are they building a frame work?
and the very big question is how good is your insurance?
Sounds like a weird question right. Well when the customer does not do the install properly and the sign(s) fall off, pole breaks, etc and it...
1. I’d use a cast vinyl not calandered
2. If installed properly the graphic will not get “distorted”. Just cut along that bar and finish application to the trailer.
Hey Brett
give me a call on Friday I’d be happy to discuss what we do with you. Might help you out a bit

You are asking a lot out of your inks adhesion to stainless. Also the 100 series inks are harder inks than the 150 series inks (as I understand them)
Have you tried an adhesion promoter? There are various types depending on the surface you are printing on.
1. Clean the ionizer heads
2. Do a disway wash
3. Clean around your capping station
4. Clean your wiper
5. Change the white pad next to capping station
6. Clean around your print heads
7. Do cleaning cycle (normal should be ok)
Also running at a Hughes pass rate will get rid of this sometimes...
I’m going to assume that you are having the material cut to size....
I’d find someone in your area that has a cnc router. Work up a relationship with them on projects like this. They can cut the material to size/shape/holes/etc. Then all you have to do is your lettering/printing on the...
Summa has their bar code reading software, not sure if it is Mac compatible
We run our Summa cutter via network connection. Print thru Onyx with Summa bar code. File is automatically sent thru cut server to Summa bar code reader software. We load up our material and off and running.
The problem is the surface you are applying the vinyl to
sounds like a wig on a pig situation going on
What type of vinyl are you using btw?
over the years I’ve seen this stuff. Client is informed and educated on this. No warranty what so ever.
Missed that part
simple....sub it out if you can’t do it in-house. I’d just make sure of material being used. Most things I see are calandered / short term stuff. Put it up and within a few months - shrinkage!
Sounds like you might need to relearn the laminating process or there is something not set right with your laminator or bad stock
pics?
if you are careful you can get bubbles out. You may see imperfections in the lamination when you do this. However over time these may wet out. Just depends...
Reverse print the blue on clear
Laminate with white vinyl with clear adhesive
presto
for bubble free install you could use the 3M vinyl for long term. For short term you could do the same thing with clear EZ Dot
we did 100s of the EZ Dot not to long ago and it worked great for our client
Did you discuss this with your customer?
I would make sure to tell the customer that that is NOT covered in any way by you if it were to fail. It will definitely NOT be covered by the vinyl manufacturer
CYA!!!
Tried it.
NO DEEP CHANNELS (sprinter/transit). Tested and it lifts after time. Even with primer and low stretch.
Had to remove the back portion of a wrap. Client changed their mind a few months later. Removal, not good. A lot of adhesive left. I won’t use it.
