This was not an issue a few months back, but now whenever I send eps files for print and import them to Flexi, my outside cut lines (keyline) does not seem to come through. I have to send files with a colored box around them for flexi to see it. Maybe it is a Signlab 8 problem via windows updates?
I have a race car (they pay!!) and the entire car is wrapped. All the sponsors however are done in vinyl and depending on what it is, we either print it on the mimaki or the Edge and some we vinyl cut. The car is being used for a campaign between races and they have to take off all the race...
I know I have some sort of problem with the yellow capping station or the head but never seen it block up so fast.
I was running a job that was primarily yellow and ran out of black ink, I am in the process of changing over to the Jetbest bulk ink cartridges and because this was a new...
This is a situation anyone could run into... Existing customer emails me and wants me to set up a decal for equipment. I get the particulars and set up 2 versions. I also priced 3 quantites with and without lamination. Sends me back an email likes version A but wants this, this ,and this...
I have a customer that sent me a pic of what is being used in a sister plant...all I can tell from the pic is that it looks like yellow vinyl with a black print, but you can see heavy wear on them. I don't think it has a floor laminate on them.
I was wondering if floor laminate is strong...
I am just in a mood today so although it sounds like I am livid it is just a personal observation about people and just how they lack any common sense whatsoever. so here goes.... I'm sure I am not the only one who deals with this
What is it with people and e-mail?
Like it is the only...
I feel like waterboarding possibly would be a nicer feel than the electrocution I seem to get whenever I run Composite aluminum through the laminator. Not just a shock, but almost like a pin ***** mixed with a shock is being inserted into my hand. It has to be one of the most annoying...
I have a client who sent me a spec from the city, which is probably so far out of date...in any case they are 18 x 24 inch signs that get nailed to areas of construction explaining something related to not storing hazardous materials near the trees. I have done these signs many times over...
I purchased one of these over an Ipad mainly because I liked the idea that I could insert a micro s chip into the device increasing it's storage capacity. So far so good. Anyways I am an I Tunes user for music and I have an Iphone and love listening to music at work. I have a set of speakers...
Jv3 130spII - I even had a technician in this week and I forgot to ask him about this. The pic is showing the far end of the carriage ( left side) and you can see this ink spray of mostly yellow but something else as well.
I don't think it is of any danger or effecting print quality...
I don't know if it is my software that creates such a problem (signlab 8) but all too often when customers send me files in ai format they are just a pain to deal with and get cut. masking can be an issue in Signlab and sometimes I can break them and others I cant.
The real question I have...
Regular customer brings me a Ford cargo van......easy job logos on doors and rear.
This logo I use cheats to line it up fast and I used 3m 2 ml vinyl.
Go to take the cheats off and a struggle starts and I can hardly get the vinyl off...breaking in small pieces, so I get out the heat gun...
Not sure what category this falls under.....
I have never understood how I get mailer daemons or whatever they are called when I am replying back to a customers e-mail. What exactly is going on that it bounces back? I usually send it again and it goes through.
I remember years ago someone had mentioned how you go about creating a swatch chart in Flexi so you can print it out... I was pretty sure it was memorized or written down, but I guess not...anyone remember?
It's been about 2 months now that my cyan cap has not held cleaning fluid for a nozzle wash. I clean the capping station every morning and clean the heads every other day. Once a week nozzle wash. I see no issues with cyan print and wonder how dangerous it is to not get this attended to at this...
I can't figure out if this is ligit or not. I guess best not to click the link.

I have seen this before with files from different designers.... basically I go to cut the file and the cut screen freezes and sits there for nearly 40 seconds, then it's ready to go. I cant figure out what's in this file that has the software confused...anyone ever figure out what causes this?
Has anyone heard of convex vinyl...seems like a company that sells specialty vinyls for motocross etc... I am curious to know if they rebrand exisiting vinyl or do they actually mfgr their own line.
I have seriously wanted one of these machines for about 4 years, but just never seem to pull the trigger.
I don't currently farm out that much, but I know if we have one I will find ways to use it for my existing clientele.
I am in no rush for it to be productive, so I can take my time...
