We just stripped down a polycarbonate sign face and anywhere there were no graphics has slightly yellowed..... I did not realize that the sign was not acrylic and now have to wonder if after re-lettering if the colour variance will be that noticeable?
I have one customer who tells me the mags on one of his drivers trucks basically welded itself to the doors.... He said the guy cleaned his vehicle religiously and would not lie. So it only stands to reason that if this set of mags reacted this way, then the entire roll probably would which...
Normally when I clean my wiper the ink is a dark rich black....For the last week or 2 I noticed that the ink is now a dark rich brown... My prints seem to look fine...just wondering if something could be wrong here?
Received an email yesterday from some guy and it started off with..."Hey".
Right away I don't like the %^%$ head.....Oh I see he was refered by a slow payer...OK, I send back a response that I need to see what he has for me to work with before quoting a proper price to do his vehicle...
I went to see a manufacturing plant that I do a lot of interior signage for. As I walked through the plant to look at this new project I passed by many of the signs I have made. usually info signs yellow and white backgrounds with black copy on 1/8" pvc. To my dismay I was sort of taken back by...
I had 12 signs made for a factory and now they are asking what kind of cleaners can be used on the signs as they could get oil residue on them over time due to the mfg process they use. They were printed on a Flatbed UV machine......
I really wonder if there is much difference.
Most 3ml laminates I have tried are fair at best. 3ml clear vinyl is rated for 5 years outdoors, so it must have UV inhibitors in them.
I am going to try using some clear vinyl on a few jobs to see just how well they flow over graphics and see...
Ok I know what the best vinyl is for this task, unfortunately my dealer says it is a special order from 3m and I have to wait 3 weeks plus. I just wonder if there is another brand of 2 ml vinyl that has very easy to weed characteristics....
I use the Orbus orient retractable banner stands exclusively...This one unit came back because the customer made an error in the graphic.... Now I don't see these once they leave here and I have done over 100 over the last couple of years... This one comes back and I pull the banner out and...
I looked it up online and it stands for scalable vector graphic...that sounds perfect for me, but I don't think my software recognizes the extension.
So the question is can it be opened and scaled in signlab / flexi or illustrator, or is one of those files that only opens in it's own software?
I have a slight problem with my cyan pump and want to go in and take a look around. I looked at the back of the printer but not to sure which panel to open to access that area?
I have my sister now set up at home with her computer to do invoicing as she had surgery and needs to stay home for 6 weeks. We run outlook express on her computer and she can receive email but her outbox is not sending out any emails. She is not getting any warning pop ups either so it...
I have an order for 2 retractable banner stands that are due today. One is French and one is English... Both are a full 300 blue spot background with some white copy. The forst 2 I ran earlier this week looked really washed out or ink starved and I think my heat settings were too high so I...
I have no clue how this happens but about 50% through job I come into the print room and I see the Mimaki flashing which means to me it is waiting for information. When I check Flexi the program manager has shut itself down with no warning at all and when I start it up again there is no...
I want to buy a bundle of Avery wrap film, but the seller says there are 2 laminates available...a 2.1 ml and a 1.5 ml. The thinner laminate is $50 cheaper but she says it is used for more complex curves.... I then asked, so why is it cheaper and why would anyone buy the thicker lam for more...
I am doing 2 trucks for one of my neighbours in my unit and they had one truck done before they moved in. The design is gross and we are stripping it all off and starting fresh. After washing the truck which I don't think has ever been washed I was horrified as I looked at the lettering on...
