Onyx to print and cut, summa barcode for loading sheets. It's the same as I've been using for the last year or so.
I can only think it comes down to the lamination process and not so much the cutter.
So I've noticed when I laminate single sheets I get a horrible shift in cutting. I'm only assuming this is due to how I'm laminating them, if I did this on a roll it wouldn't be an issue. I'm just not sure where I'm going wrong with setting the sheets up to run through the laminator. The only...
That seems like what I'm doing now, but say if I have a bunch of stuff that will fit on a a 4' x 2' sheet and the next piece is larger and won't fit on that. I'm trying to see if there is a more automated way to have it break apart jobs into sheets of varying lengths.
Since I've gotten my roll-to-roll setup going now I'm wondering if it's possible to have Onyx layout stuff automatically to fill a certain area.
Say I've got some 11.5" x 9.5" pieces and some 10.5" x 9.38" pieces...I want to be able to toss it into the Rip telling it how many copies I need of...
Thanks for the tips guys! Highly appreciated!
For single sheets of just use a little piece of backing paper to get it started and just feed sheets through, being careful not to let sheet run through the nip before the next sheet I put in.
Rolls have been great and it's easier than I thought...
I've never had an "old way" I'm still pretty green in vinyl printing. Everything I've learned in this area is either by video or reading. I know many have their own ways of doing things so it's nice to get an idea so I can try them and figure out what works best for my setup.
Yeah that's what I followed. How do you handle the sheets after they have been laminated to the rewind roll? That is what I'm curious about for those with this type of machine.
I'm coming from my RS 1400, which is so easy to do sheets on because there is no reminder in the back and a channel to...
So I finally received my GFP 363TH and seems pretty easy to setup. Just a learning curve on a new machine. I'm so used to doing everything as sheets, but I will have to transfer to roll to roll eventually when I feel comfortable with the process of doing roll-to-roll.
How do you laminate sheets...
Ah ok I figured as much. I haven't looked into it. I use Thrive version of Onyx currently.
I do print and cut. There are sheet cut functions I can't seem to get to work on v19. When I tried v21 it worked but I did run into it not reading a barcode a couple of times. Just wondering which option...
Since getting my Graphtec FC9000 I've found that my version of Onyx (19) doesn't support full functionality of the cutter for what I want to do. I tried Onyx version 21 but it still wasn't great. I haven't tried Flexi and doing things through illustrator and cut master seems very tedious from...
I've got some stickers I'm doing kiss cuts of and the design is tapered because of the tube they are going on. For some reason whenever I cut them it runs about half the speed it's set to. It's something I've never encountered before so I'm scratching my head. I can only think that it's because...
What holographic material are you using? I've had some success with running it. I found that I have to keep sheet sizes small, the more reg marks the harder time it has. I've always had to use the yellow filter to get it to work and lowering the sensor sensitivity. That being said, I haven't...
I need to find a new one. Last tax season I left a note with two questions on it about expenses, never got an answer. Just recently I emailed them asking for guidance on buying a vehicle and the same thing, no response. These were not hard questions so I'm a little baffled why they couldn't just...
This is immediately what I thought when I saw this thread. Pantone is trying to get people into some sort of subscription service.
Seems like a bad move IMO. What did Klaus Schwab say, in the future you will own nothing and be happy about it.
