I've just got a D140, the basics as it was my first cutter. I can get it to do full cuts it's just not ideal. If I could afford a flatbed I certainly would be looking at them.
My business has steadily increased over the last year and I'm finding it a little harder to keep up at times when I've got a full schedule. I do a lot of die cut stickers (full cuts through the backer) on my summa (two-pass process) I also do a lot of smaller kiss cut sheets of stickers and...
I do a lot of short to medium run stuff like this. I try and keep my vinyl orders 10k and under, average is 1k-2k usually. Everything I do is for manual application so I generally do sheets of multiple up, around 8.5"x 11". I don't have a lot of automation on my end which would help in...
I do a lot of short-run labels and recently I've been having a lot of labels with a perforation in them, to act as a safety seal on a product. However unlaminated I find it's just a bit too thin for people and I also feel like 3.4mil is a bit thin for labels on vinyl. I've used 6mil General...
Maybe if the start point was different possibly? Not really sure what determines the start points in the cut path.
Yeah I've got no issues with complex shapes. Maybe I'll try doing 45 deg as I've got to reprint some of them.
I think I know what you mean...in that last part...just having an...
I don't think I'll ever understand why this cutter cuts the way it does.
Squares are difficult for it to cut...Top, bottom and right of the stickers are cut fine but the left side never cuts as deep as the other 3 sides. Even when I do the pressure test the left side of the square is always not...
Yeah I'm going to refeed it and reset the tension on it to see if I can smooth out the "waves". I just never knew these were crowned and neither did the tech, which means I have no teach to even service this at all. I do have new pressure springs if I need to put some of those in. I'll start...
The laminate will sometimes get waves when it's coming off the roll, and I'm thinking some of my cutting issues are because of this. I've noticed the cuts aren't cut as deep on the outer edges.
Something I didn't know....I do know that one side was higher than the other but the tech measured...
It's going to be time for a new laminator. Had a tech come in a check out the rollers on my laminator and found they are warped, but in a way I wouldn't have expected. The center is tight and the outer edges are the spots with lower pressure. Anyways...it's not worth buying a set of rollers @...
I was having internet issues and reset my network setting on my laptop now I cannot connect to my Epson S40600. The setup tool doesn't detect it either. I'm stressing now as all my equipment seems to be disconnected now.
I changed my cutting strip this morning to see if that would resolve my issue and it did not make much difference at all.
I'm just beating my brains out trying to understand why I can cut a complex shape with no issues but a circle or square is the hardest thing for it to do.:(
The only thing...
I've been having much success with doing full cut out stickers on my summa with a 2-pass setup. I've cut a few thousand and have had minimal problems. I had to change my blade, and got it back to where it needed to be and it was cutting good but I go to cut these squares with rounded corners and...
Has anyone ever replaced their pressure springs in their machine? Wondering how difficult it might be or if I'll have to find a tech that can do it. Local shop that sells these doesn't service it apparently.
