That's a good observation because light colors don't add gamut but they do reduce graininess! You need a color like orange or green etc to improve gamut on CMYK printers.

Signs365 prints with Latex machines for their vinyl products and they print at a fairly middle of the road resolution so they can pump stuff out all day. Check your yellow cartridge to make sure there is actually ink in it. Sometimes they will be empty and not flag the machine properly. Other than that, I would start with the damper but also take a look at the waste tubes when running a cleaning cycle and make sure you see ink flowing. If not...

I agree. As long as you take care of them the heads should last a while. I have a customer who mixes old ink with new ink and doesn't maintain it very well and we are putting heads in every 1 or 2 years it seems and that's on a JFX200!

No, Mutoh is very easy to work with on the old machines. They won't talk to you directly though so you have to go through a dealer. They won't even ask for a serial number.
