We are installing some Orajet 3675 with Oraguard 290-F laminate on some van windows and was curious if we need to seal the edges. I have noticed that 3M offers edge sealing tape, but Oracal does not. Does the Oracal require the same edge sealing tape that 3M does? We will be doing the 4 side...
Finally somebody has come out with a alternative ink. Looks like the price is better and guaranteed longer durability. I'm with you, don't want to be the first to take the plunge.
Screen printing is the way to go. Shoot me a private message if you cannot find a merchant member to do them for you. 200 is probably the lowest quantity you would want to screen print.
Have not seen any of the new SureColor printers, but are interested due to how happy we have been with our GS6000. We have had it close to 3 years and had a couple hiccups when we first got it, but other than that it has run non stop. It looks like they have learned from any of their downfalls...
Looks good. Was at Bristol Rhythm and Roots and as always, it was a fantastic weekend. Incredible music, great people and plenty of cold beer. Nice job on all the signage!
Ultraflex has a great 8oz mesh that comes in 63.5"x165' rolls. We bought 2 rolls last week from Advantage and it was here the next day. I don't know about taping, but it sews great.
We have printed rolls of General Formulations static cling through our Epson. We use the 1440x1440 profile and no side roll guides. Static cling is an awful material to work with, but it does work with the Epson.
Obviously a lot has shifted towards digital, but I think screen printing will always have its place. We can produce 150 4'x8's (banners, signs, etc) in 1 hour. It would be hard to shift that over to digital at the moment, but speed and quality is drastically improving every year. Time will...
These new printers look great and have a nice price point (or at least the s30 does). I am a big fan of them adding a "heavy duty" media holder. Holds up to 11.5" diameter rolls and 175 lbs. We have been extremely happy with our GS6000 and will continue to look at the Epson family for future...
We love our our Epson. Have had it for a little over 2 years and it has run non stop. Very easy to use with incredible quality. We have printed on just about every media I can think of with good results. Since you mentioned static cling, it is a must to run it at 1440x1440 to get good...
General Formulations has a good static cling. Comes in sheets if you are screen printing and rolls for digital. Pretty sure you can get it through Advantage.
Advantage is a great company and great people. I use them every chance I get and use Fellers as my second resort. Their prices are competitive with Fellers and your not giving Frank more money to wrap his name all over his '68 mustang.
