  1. What are you cutting stickers with?

We screen print larger orders 1k+ and digitally print smaller orders. With screen print orders its straight from the press to the slitter and then to our 54" guillotine and cut with in minutes. Digitally prints are hand trimmed to a manageable size and then to the guillotine.
  2. Greetings From The Volunteer State

Welcome neighbor (from Knoxville)! Great forum here with a ton of information. If you ever need anything turned quick/locally for pickup, we would be happy to help out. Other wise, there are a ton of great Merchant Members here.
  3. Best way to make reflective signs

Screen print them. Would only take a couple hours.
  4. R.I.P. Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys

Man it was incredible. They announced the show the night before while passing through Asheville on their way to bonnaroo. They sold 500 non-transferable tickets (to prevent scalping) to the show and we were lucky enough to get them. Got 2nd row and held it down the whole night. Had tickets...
  5. R.I.P. Adam "MCA" Yauch of the Beastie Boys

That is awful. My wife and I have been fans for years and really hate to hear this. Got to see them two summers ago at a "secret" 500 person show. So incredible and a great bunch of guys.
  6. Anybody with print experience on PE2Print from Rochling

We buy direct through a rochling independent sales rep.
  7. Anybody with print experience on PE2Print from Rochling

We buy two skids of the .055 thickness two to three times a year. Never had a single issue with it and will continue to use Rochling. Great prices and decent lead time (2-3 weeks).
  8. Companies who use Google Adwords

So true. I have been running them for a little over a year now and feel like it is a fine tuned working machine. The whole month is paid off within 1-2 orders. Yes we turn away a lot of the tire kickers, but we also pull in some really nice jobs. It all depends on how it is managed.
  9. Opinion on Color from Signs365

I love signs 365, but their color matching is laughable. They are a great company and I don't mean to be harsh, but it is. I have heard of others having great success with their pms matching, but unfortunately we have not. I will definitely still order from them and continue using them in the...
  10. Buy local?

We do a ton of political work and I can promise you, it is a down and dirty market. Unless your a screen printer or you are running a $1m flatbed, you will never compete.
  11. UPS Is Unbelievable!!!

Found a $400 questionable shipment on last weeks invoice and called customer service. This is the second questionable charge like that in one month. Somebody has been over nighting auto parts on our UPS account. I was told they would block it after the first call but of course they didn't. I...
  12. The best banner material?

Herculite Bantex material is great. We have been printing it for probably 10 years and love it.
  13. contour cut static cling

Ha! Thats what we ended up doing. We ran the cling through in roughly 54"x36" sheets which took FOOOOOOREEEEEVVVVEEEER, but it got the job done.
  14. contour cut static cling

Learned this the hard way. Took a job that called for 10 rolls of static cling to be reverse printed, screen white backup and then contour cut. Everything was fine until the contour cut came into play. We had somebody babysitting and cussing our plotter for an entire week. You can definitely...
  15. Top 5 Tips for Effective Wrap Design

    Great article!
  16. Where do I find these step stakes?

We buy a similar stand from Parker Davis in NC. Usually buy a skid or two to get the price down.
  17. little league pee wee banner

Gino is correct. Here is a photo of the banners we have done at local minor league stadium. They are all 8'x16'.
  18. Come take this piece of junk

That is great news. Our machine went down the first couple months we owned it (faulty head fried the motherboard twice) and know how frustrating it can be. No where near the issues you have mentioned, but it always seems to happen at the worst time. Thankfully Epson has always been very...
  19. Come take this piece of junk

Would love to hear an update. We own a GS6000 and have been very happy with it, but you can't help but feel a little nervous when you hear about situations like this.
  20. Best Value for Flatbed Printers

All are very true points. HP puts on one hell of a demo. Our demo operator, Craig (Shultz?), was incredible to watch. The belt on the FB is made for continuos production compared to a true flatbed. I am willing to sacrifice a little bit of quality for faster speed. It all depends on what...
