  1. 700w alternatives ?

I have no advice but am in a similar situation. I replaced my first 700w 11 months in. The second one (a replacement for the first one) is only 6 weeks new and has been down for over a week. Each time the 700w goes down I end up losing around 2k a week in business and also suffer loss of...
  2. Pulling the trigger on a printer? When is the right time?

I'll throw in my two cents here just because I took the plunge just over a year ago and its been a ride. Im sure shops with multiple printers dont have this problem but when I bought my first printer and it broke down I was at the mercy of the service techs and the printer manufacturer. They...
  3. Thoughts on sharing vector wrap files...

Add a disclaimer on your quotes that specifies the digital artwork files are not included in the price. They can pay for those separately.
  4. Templating a vehicle

I’ve tried everything mentioned here and also in the thread mentioned. If you are trying to make templates that are vehicle specific and tightly follow body lines there isn’t anything more accurate than the transfer tape/paper method and then having them scanned in. Taking a picture of your...
  5. HP Latex 800W

I wish this had been fixed sooner. Not just for me but for others as well. The first two years of the 700/800’s existence is full of negative experiences. I was very close to either going uv or quitting the printing side of things. Hopefully this update/upgrade changes the overall user experience.
  6. HP Latex 800W

I can speak for the 700w. I bought one in February 2022 and had nothing but problems with it. It was down as frequently as it was running. At 11 months I asked for another year warranty, a new printer replacement, or a refund. I got a new printer and its actually been flawless. Ive only been...
  7. BEST MATERIAL TO WRAP A RESTAURANT TABLE ?

I concur with Stacy on this. The vinyl is important but I feel the laminate you use is far more important. She mentioned using Oraguard 270G PPF. I would think that should hold up better than just about any laminate. Im not sure what your budget is but its more expensive than laminate.
  8. Rotating in Flexi

Yeah, and to further explain, my original background in n design was designing homes in autocad. When you draw an object and it doesn’t close by 1/16” you tend to try and figure out where the problem is. So I was trained originally to accept nothing but precision accuracy and it’s just carried...
  9. Rotating in Flexi

The 1/16” gap looks massive when you zoom in really close. Lol
  10. Rotating in Flexi

The accuracy would be enough for just about anything else but the template is large/long so the error is magnified across that length. It’s a template of an irregular shaped object that we’ll need to cut stuff for over and over so I was just hoping someone knew of a setting that would solve my...
  11. Rotating in Flexi

In Flexi is there a way to rotate by anything more accurate than 0.1 degrees? If I rotate an object and try to rotate by 0.01 degrees it reverts it to 0.1 and the OCD in me doesnt want to accept that. Ive scanned in an object that was too large for our scanner so it required 2 scans and I need...
  12. Facebook Marketplace anyone?

Paid ads for the most part are a break even investment or you dont make enough to feel its worth continuing dishing out the money. If you are running ads or marketing yourself in any capacity you need to put yourself where the buyers are. Your buyers are not the FB marketplace buyers...
  13. Transfer tap the comes on liner

Im looking for a decent transfer tape that comes on its own liner rather than the standard rolls. I do various jobs where I feel having it would be helpful. Any help would be appreciated.
  14. A Serbian guy who sell templates on Internet

Seems legit. Or you could talk to these people at Procutfiles.com. A US based legitimate business. The files are spot on. I get emails weekly for new templates they’ve added.
  15. Mimaki UV vs HP Latex

Update to the 700w. After almost a year long battle with my 700w they agreed to provide me with a brand new one. I’m assuming the latest firmware and other updates/upgrades made to the 700w since it’s inception have improved it. I’m noticing a faster “first print of the day” start time…seems to...
  16. looking for small sticker machine

Afinia label printers. https://afinialabel.com/digital-label-printers/ I’m not sure what your price point is but they have a handful of different models that range in price. Use it in conjunction with their label finishers (laminates, cuts, weeds, rolls it all up or crosscuts each sticker).
  17. Issues With Courtwrap on HP700W- Help Please!

I’ll second what balstestrat said. There are some substrates that I have to use the Takeup reel for every time. What you described happening to you is fixed 100% of the time when attached to the TUR before printing.
  18. Help with HP 700 latex

I’ve not printed on 651 with my 700w but I have used 751 and 951 with great success. I have also printed on 3m scotchcal 50 series quite a bit with no issues. I’m based in Florida, plenty of humidity here and I’ve had no complaints of fading or scratches with unlaminated prints. It sounds like...
  19. Upgrade from 335 to 700w?

So there is a problem with my white ink recirculation. When it is going through its recirculation cycle it actually leaks white ink. The maintenance cartridge gets covered in white ink and because its so saturated it then gets all of the other printheads saturated in white ink. When I am...
  20. Upgrade from 335 to 700w?

Ah yes, of course I'd get that response. Believe it or not, shutting it down every night has been the solution, not the problem. I should have prefaced my comment with the fact that I've had it for a year and during the first 9 months I let it idle and NEVER shut it down in fear that I was...
