I do not have the material in stock. But I was wondering if I print a spot color on chrome vinyl with my edge, do I will see the mirror effect thru the spot color? Or do I must use a translucent foil to achieve this effect?

Is it an old technology? It seems to be on the market for quite few times now. Again, there is no roll-to-roll option to print white on clear vinyl, but I could go with the 2531 model to print on 10ft media.

The roll-to-roll option is for the white ink that I do not have on my ''regular'' machine. The oce is almost two times the price of a FB here (Canada). I'm sure it's a better machine, but is it 2X better?

I understand the point between true flatbed vs hybrid. But in my case, I will do lot of print on roll media. I know océ have the roll-to-roll option. Also, with an hybrid, I could print on 4x10 and 5X10 sheets.

Before changing for a latex printer, I was using versaworks with my roland printers. Now, I run Caldera and it's by far a superior rip than versawork.

All of them. I have a D160R and if I had to do it again, I would pay the extra $$$ to get the tangential knife, better downforce and take up (optional) of the S2 series. But I'm still very happy with my machine for over about 5 years now.

I have the same cutter. When we cut lot of small decal, we try to not make more than 4 feet (1 meter) at a time. Anyway, with the barcode reading, we can put 3-4 jobs back a back and it will read the jobs. This way, it ''reset'' the reading every 1 meter for better accuracy.

The only others I know are flatbed cutter table like zund.

I have a latex printer with a summa cutter. With the ''bow line reader'' from the cutter, I've NEVER add accuracy problems. If you don't want to buy another cutter, use vinyl with a 90# liner, your prints will be strait and won't need the compensation option.

Since I don't own a CNC, what other solution do I have to make V-groove in ACM sheet? I've found a fletcher cutter, but I would like to be able to make groove in 3mm and 6mm sheet and also the full 8ft long. Thanks.

Yep, just a strip on top and bottom. For larger size, we put 6in strips on the sides also.
