Some of you are probably thinking... duh, but it happens daily. A customer has 2 versions of the artwork and for some reason I get the worse of the 2
Another example is not scanning artwork at a decent resolution. I often get business cards placed on a scanner and scanned at 72 dpi
"Sometimes I say no to force you to go look for better art" a tweet I posted some time ago....
In another thread someone asked why I was turning down a job. Probably 60% of the time, when I turn down a job eventually better art will appear when it forces my customer to do a bit more homework...
I usually do not quote on this open forum. I also don't know their expectations since I don't have enough info. I think that this Signarama location probably could have contacted me if there was interest in getting a quote or further details
I quote jobs all day long. Rarely does anyone want to...
I cannot see the details that make up the trees. So if I spend 4-5 hours and the customer says that it is wrong or not what they had hoped for, do they have to pay? What if I never get it right? I could take a chance on a 10-15 minute job but nothing quite like this
Most people are expecting...
This is not an Illustrator issue. Curves are easy to draw and automatic. To do what you described does not happen on its' own or likely the fault of the designer
It would be much harder to draw a curve with dozens of straight lines versus just using bezier tools or the arc/circle tool
sounds like this could have been a CAD file at one time. I get these all of the time. Apparently with some CAD programs curves are not possible but instead are drawn with dozens of straight segments that from far away look like a curve
when I am sent jobs that are autotraced it takes less time to start from scratch instead of moving dozens or perhaps hundreds of points to match it correctly
Maybe I am a perfectionist but I think that is what most of my customers expect from me. If this graphic was viewed from far away it...
What about Square's online processing? Anyone have experience with that? They say 3.5% + 15cents. Is that for every card? Currently I know my %'s vary depending on what kind of card it is. Those rewards cards cost more. I think I see about 10 different percentages of fees, all close but they do...
