  1. Vehicle Window Perf

Clear Focus is the best perf we have found. In addition, for vehicle windows, it's available in appropriate size rolls. Big material waste if you have to use a 54" roll for truck windows. Every other brand of perf we've used has really been inferior as far as adhesion, adhesive characteristics...
  2. Vehicle Window Perf

Then what would you use on vehicles? 50/50 is the largest holes, giving the best visibility. It's the 60/40 or 70/30 that you're not supposed to use on vehicles..
  3. UPS

Are you using UPS Worldship? If so, it can validate addresses before you print the label. I used to get dinged for dimensions because I guessed wrong. Now I measure recycled boxes and I know the dimensions of our stock boxes and never get dinged for dimensions. What I've noticed is a sharp...
  4. Vehicle Window Perf

Don't squeegee too hard. But also realize that unless you squeegee so hard you stick the lam to the glass through the holes, after some time in the sun and cooling overnight the squeegee marks go away. We use ClassicVue and Avery DOL1360 Optically Clear.
  5. USPS Craziness

USPS has dropped their delivery time claims. That said, we've been getting things in that USPS delivered and they came on time. I suppose it depends on where you are. Even before COVID USPS's tracking was useless. It would show package not picked up until after delivery, and then it would change...

Why would you put a $50 coroplast sign in a $200 frame? 4Ever Products is what your picture shows.

  8. Freaking Stupid Dell botches the new XPS 17

No, it apparently cannot do that according to the article I read.
  9. Freaking Stupid Dell botches the new XPS 17

I did a little search for the problem, and it appears that there is something more wrong with this system that is causing it to use a lot of power and indeed people are discharging the battery playing games. They did design it to have to do short power draws from the battery, but not anywhere...
  10. new one from portugal

Welcome. Never been to Portugal, but have seen and enjoyed its architectural and culinary influence in Macao. Egg tarts and bacalhau for the win!
  11. Question New epson s40600 owner needs help

The USB I think is really only meant for hooking to a service laptop for updates/testing/maintenance. So it probably keeps the printer awake so it doesn't go to sleep mid-update.
  12. Freaking Stupid Dell botches the new XPS 17

I think the design choice Dell made is a realistic one based on the fact that people don't use the total power potential of a computer for even a tiny fraction of the time they use a computer. That's the whole reason behind the cpu throttle and turbo characteristics, especially in laptop...
  13. Onyx issue with Windows 10 2004

You don't have to wait for the Windows Update. All it takes is a driver update for the Onyx dongle. You can do the driver update right now no matter what version of Windows 10 you have. Even the whole rigamarole that Onyx has on their website isn't really necessary. Just download the new driver...
  14. How to add an electrical cabinet to an exisiting pole?

As small as the pole, driveway, and surrounding buildings look, that looks like it originally had maybe a 4'x4' or 3'x3' on it. The pole probably went through the sign and the top of the sign sat on the top plate. Double face with pan faces. Something like the FedEx sign behind it. Regardless...
  15. Mimaki CG160FXII and ONYX Cut Server

We use Onyx too, and with our Graphtec plotter you send the cut command from CutServer, and the plotter then reads the marks after which it cuts. But with the Mimaki, you load the vinyl, activate the mark reader in the plotter controls, position the first mark, then have it read the marks, then...
  16. Pontoon Boats

Here, most people never buy the trailer. The dealer delivers the boat (Or they just drive it home from the dealer) and they keep it in their dock and it never leaves the lake.
  17. Mimaki CG160FXII and ONYX Cut Server

With that Mimaki we've always read the marks manually before going to hit cut in the software.
