You can buy cut vinyl by the yard from at least one national vendor. The best a print will do is about 5 years. And when it fails it will either fade away completely or depending on the laminate, turn brown/black burnt like the current one. Translucent vinyls meant for this use will last 9 years...
For a sign face with just lettering and solid graphics, get a new face (polycarbonate is more fracture resistant but yellows faster than acrylic. On a relatively small sign like that you can take your pick). But don't print the graphics. Use cut translucent vinyl. It will last way, way longer...
And here I thought it was my come to Jesus moment. On the other hand, how many Hispanic girls are named Jesus? The email says they will send me her email.
I'm not sure how many of you have heard of the TV show "God Friended Me" (I've never seen it but I've seen plenty of commercials). But I wonder if God is branching out beyond Facebook into e-commerce or something. I just got the attached email:
We used to use denatured alcohol to strip the paint off those (it is on the inside). Fill the pan with a double layer of paper towels, like you're making lasagna. Soak with the denatured alcohol and keep it wet. It takes a long time to soften the paint. When the paint softens, use a putty knife...
Here's just such a sign (but 4'x32') made of 3mm MaxMetal mounted on three rows of treated lumber 2x4's. You could do it out of .040, but it will be harder to lift them harder to hold them in position, and harder to put screws through them. And it will end up looking wavy even with the three...
I would not recommend double printing the top (visible) print. The colors will actually be too dark in daylight. If you needed to add density because of too-bright lighting on the inside, you'd add it to the non-visible print.
Best way to do these is two prints. We also use an Epson.
Use translucent white plastic. Print once on clear, apply that directly to the plastic. Print the exact same file on translucent white vinyl and laminate with UV clear. Apply that directly over the clear print. Registration is easy if you...
As long as the vendor has Spanish braille fonts, they should be able to reproduce it. If they want to do it manually, they can Wikipedia Spanish Braille and see what to use for the special characters. They have a chart.
I would put the text of the Spanish wording onto the customer. Just as they...
It should also go without saying, that the customer also escaped paying state sales tax by registering with the Coast Guard instead of licensing with their state. 7.25% of $250,000, or even $80,000, is a chuck of change. The charge for putting the name on the boat is negligible compared to what...
We do about a half dozen boats a week in season, or more. That boat should be done in cut HP vinyl, not printed. It would be priced at our flat rate, $250 plus tax. Nothing about it to add to the price. If there is vinyl or adhesive removal, that starts at $30. We are located about a half mile...
