  1. I need to make 30 of these! What are they?

It's 'etched' (chemically, blasted, etc. depending on manufacturer) and paint-filled. That's not screen printed.
  2. Vacuum Formed Sign Face

I would recommend Faces. They're one of, if not the best/oldest in the business and can form up to 8' x 20' in one piece.
  3. I need to make 30 of these! What are they?

Etched with infill. Gemini or Steel Art. Steel Art is a bit more but top notch.
  4. Measuring items in a photo...

Thank you for the additional responses. I swear Corel had a tool where you could draw a line, specify what dimension it was, and if you changed the length of that line, it would increase or decrease the dimension accordingly. Anyway, I'll try the methods given - thank you!
  5. Measuring items in a photo...

Thank you for all of the responses!
  6. Measuring items in a photo...

Not sure where else to post this. Can anyone recommend software (and the procedure) to obtain dimensions of an object if you know the dimensions of another object in the photo? ie: I have a photo of a set of channel letters. I need to determine the approximate dimensions of the letters (HxW)...
  7. Opinions and Advice,Window Decal

    "Chieftain".....not "Chieftian".
  8. Name plates for cubicle walls...

No, that would be easier, but they don't want to be able to see the attachment method.
  9. Name plates for cubicle walls...

    Perfect - thanks guys!
  10. Name plates for cubicle walls...

That was my concern with the pins - they look kind of light weight. They're pretty adamant about not having a visible means of attachment though, so the pins may be the only option. Yeah, I found them for around $1 a piece, but if you can find out your source, that would be great. Thank you...
  11. Name plates for cubicle walls...

Some cubicle walls are solid core and adhering nameplates with VHB tape works pretty well. Some are a hollow core with perimeter framing which allows the fabric to be pushed in....which in turn doesn't work well with pressure sensitive VHB tape. Does anyone know of a supplier/product that would...
  12. buying VHB foam tape?

Reece is likely going to be your best bet. And they don't make you buy it by the case.
  13. buying VHB foam tape?

    Where are you located?
  14. 3d foam letter - Delaminating - how to fix?

I would use this or this. The Gorilla epoxy is great stuff. Dispense, mix, apply, tape the laminate back in place (use Gorilla tape to hold it in place) and remove after5 minutes. I've never used the Powergrab and it takes longer to cure, but it's an option. Not sure how what shape the foam is...
  15. What NOT to do when Selling a 4x8 sign and installing it....

Understood...but the issue with that method is you might pound the rebar down, not hit anything, but there's a huge rock (or rocks) an inch over that you're still going to hit when you start digging. If there's something uncertain (digging holes where you may hit rock, sprinkler lines, etc...
  16. Tire Company Repaint

Nice work, Jill! It came out really nice.
  17. What NOT to do when Selling a 4x8 sign and installing it....

How do you survey for buried rock? Buried rock is just one of the unfortunate hiccups you might encounter when digging. That's why that kind of work can be quoted but with a clause included that such hiccups (rock, broken sprinkler lines, etc) will be dealt with on a T&M basis.
  18. How do you quote your out of area travel costs?

I charge a flat amount per mile if I'm just driving the truck and a larger flat amount per mile if I'm towing the lift or trailer. I calculate the mileage from my house to the job site and back to the house. I've been confronted with the "no one else gets paid to drive to work" line of...
  19. Package project

You do very nice work...always enjoy seeing your projects!
  20. Post and Panel Redux

If I'm understanding, the two 4'x8' faces would be attached to the single pole so they form a 8'x8' face? And that face would be 5' above grade? So the finished product would be 13' overall height? If so, your pier should be a little over 4' deep, which means your total support length would...
