  1. SP300v ribbon(cables) going to print head "slapping" while printing

Regularly, this starts happening when the plastic guides are placed wrong. When placing the plastic protectors on the metal bottom, the lower protector should be fixed slightly more leftwards than the upper one.
  2. HP Latex 370 printing colors very strangely

Could be a problem with the color management settings, specially because the problems appear with vectors only. Unfortunately, with no information about the RIP-Software you use, it is difficult to help.
  3. Summa Flexcut issue with SAi

This is with Winplot, not with SAi Flexi
  4. HP Latex 1500-weak yellow

Cool. Thank you for the feedback.
  5. HP Latex 1500-weak yellow

I had that really often with yellow (I was a supporter of Latex-Printers). Before printing yellow areas to replace the ink in the head and the tubes, do not forget to shake the cartridge. And check the age of the ink: if they are expired, pigment settles much faster. Its typical too that all...
  6. HP Latex 1500-weak yellow

Was the machine not in use for a longer period? I know from the smaller Latex Printers that often yellow is the first ink where the pigments settles.
  7. Need Help how to deal with cuts for long murals?

You can activate panneling. What means that the cutter divides the job in panels, cutting each panel completely until continuing with the next one. Will avoid long media moves. If your media tracks well, you will not see any difference. The length of the panels can be defined.
  8. Colors Pantone Epson S80600

It doesnt matter how much process colors are used as long as there are no pantone matching spot inks. It would be interesting how much tolerance is applied when Pantone certifies such printers. But you are right, 100% pure red is the value searched for.
  9. Colors Pantone Epson S80600

It is not possible to get an exact match of Pantone in hue and appearance with a process printer. Pantone colors are printed as spot print colors regularly in offset printing or screen printing, mixed manually out of around 15 base colors. There are bridge color swatches which shows Pantone...
  10. Roland SP-540V or Roland SP-540I

Not to forget: it will be harder to organize specific spare parts on the older model.
  11. Roland SP-540V or Roland SP-540I

The SP540i is the successor of the SP540V, should be at least younger, and the better choice. The 540i has technology to reduce banding in prints (intelligent pass control), what the 540V dont have. The 540i will do automatic environment match what the older one wont do (important for contour...
  12. S160T - Service Mode?

You could get one from Summa if you are an authorized service technician. I have no other idea to get one.
  13. Summa Flexcut issue with SAi

Does the cutter cuts both line colours? If yes, check the communication settings of your cutter. Could be that „tool commands“ is set to „ignore“. Your question should be placed better into Summa or Flexi-Category.
  14. Print and Cut without Summa Marks

It depends on your cutter model you havent mentioned until know. Could be that the feature isnt supported or described anymore.
  15. S160T - Service Mode?

The ultrasonic sensor is the media sensor of the take up-unit (pretty shure). I think you do not have to know every detail of the service mode, you just needs to know what you need to solve problems. Or you can try to get a service manual.
  16. Print and Cut without Summa Marks

In the manual you will find a description of a method to align the cut contour manually.
  17. How to clean a flatbed belt with overprint

Try to scratch the color layer only. Breaking it up will make it easier to let isopropyl into the ink layer and finally easier to remove it with less hard tools. Of course avoid to cut into it, use metal tools carefully. Yes, replacing the belt is a very expensive repair. But you all can be...
  18. Need Help Cutting an incomplete print job

Nice to hear that it have worked for you. You‘re welcome.
  19. How to clean a flatbed belt with overprint

I was a certified technician for the Scitex FB, and I know that the belt is out of Kevlar, a material bulletproof vests are made of. You need a lot of power and stupid handling to damage the belt. Just try it on a small edge of the belt to even scratch it.
  20. Need Help Cutting an incomplete print job

If using a Summa, and a few marker rows are printed, you can set your plotter to „OPOS Panneling“. The Barcode at the end, at a Summa, is not neccessary until you use the print the other way round. OPOS Panneling means that the cutter will read at first the first 4 Markers, cut between them...
