I've done this very often. 8mil or 12mil poster paper with optically clear double sided tape on the top and bottom. Cheap, fast and do not need any cleaning when removed.

interesting. I'm wondering if it will peel the paint off the wall when removed? Also, the oracal 631 clear seems to be kinda glossy. Would it work with the edge compared to the other colors that are mat?
