I use general formulation for the high tac and never had this problem (I have a HP L26500). It print like any other vinyl without any residue.

another vote for summa here. The D series is very good for 90% of the jobs. If you do lot of thick material, go with a T series.

Like other said, just find a material that have a 90# liner, I've found that catalina/mojave material have this in their economic vinyl. For the cutting part, the summa cutters with the barcode reading compensate for this.

Maybe I could help you with your production. I have the large format printer (HP L26500), a summa cutter, a gerber edge printer and a gerber envision cutter. If you want really good accuracy, the envision cutter is really good. I do lots of lablels, so I think I could help you.
