  1. Pantone Color Chart to print

It sounds like you may need to adjust your softwares' CMYK color space to one that works (prints) better for you.
  2. Epson S80600 / Edge Print RIP - Spot Colours

Every program, and version within the program, and colorspace(s) within the version has different values encoded into it to try to get the closest color bridge equivalent to the Pantones spot colors from only using CMYK inks. If you don't know what program/version/colorspace the "Pantone chart"...
  3. Auto Pinstriping

    Restylers Choice?
  4. Back-ordered materials- what are you having trouble finding?

Can you use 3MIJ46-20-54? We have also been waiting for the UR for a few months and switched over to this for now.
  5. Canon Colorado 1650 service plan question

If you're that busy that speed is your problem and you're making good money printing, then downtime will be a major issue. All of the new printers are made to be non-user serviceable. Your job is to print and not try to repair. I have found that as long as you are under warranty that the...
  6. Epson 70670 Parts Cheap

We are getting ready to scrap a complete S70670 machine and wanted to see if anyone needs parts off of it before it hits the dumpster. It got the dreaded 1A39 error and we decided to not repair it. It has been sitting unplugged for around 2 years, but it is complete. There is one catch - you...
  7. Colors Pantone Epson S80600

I In Onyx, when you rip your file, the 3rd(? - sorry I'm away from that PC) tab is for color management. In the top left there is an area where it shows the CMYK & spot color channels. You can type an increase into those channels.
  8. Colors Pantone Epson S80600

Some colors cannot be hit within the CMYK spectrum of 100/100/100/100. You have to go beyond 100% to achieve those rich deep hues. We use Onyx RIP and you can do a color bump within the RIP to achieve those particular colors when necessary. We call it a saturation bump and it is the same way...
  9. auto takeup reel not working on Epson s80600

It has to know there is vinyl on there (so some has to be loaded and locked down). It has to be plugged in, and the "auto" switches on the end have to be set up to the correct rotations. It is activated by the bar being in the correct range of motion. Should work then.
  10. 3m Window perforated vinyl

FWIW, if you don't already have it in stock, you can't get a 60" roll or a 54" roll of any type of cast perf right now....
  11. Back-ordered materials- what are you having trouble finding?

Starting to see sheet goods materials not showing up. (polymetal/PVC) We ordered quite a bit and got like 2/3 of it and no info on when the rest is coming.
  12. Question Square Core Holder name?

I was thinking about contacting the company to see if they wanted to buy some back, lol. It seems wasteful throwing so many away but the local schools no longer accept them for their recycling programs so we don't save them. I'd bet another local sign company would save them for you and sell...
  13. GFP 363TH Laminator

Go with the 563th for roll-to-roll lamination if you can afford it. We love our 563th laminators here. However, yesterday we did just buy a 363th for our masking dept and it seems to be just a cheaper model with many of the same features of the 563th.
  14. gerber plotter HS 15 / non plus /

Going to be hard to find much info on that old of a plotter, most of that knowledge base is lost to time. You can probably find a used plotter for parts on ebay, probably cheaper than buying a mainboard. We still run HS15+ plotters here and maintain them ourselves, but we don't deal with circuit...
  15. FastSigns and Signs365 and Gemini

Everyone has customers who get "special pricing". Every industry, including this one. I'm sure you pay a lot different price on certain materials from places like Fellers/Grimco/etc than others on here do and you never even knew it. The more you buy the more you can negotiate your pricing with...
  16. s80600 getting ink smudges on the right side of printouts

On the media profile you have chosen in the printer, turn down the heat in that area and the prefeed area.
  17. Looking at the Epson SureColor S60600

Do a demo at your local dealer's between the two models. A 60600 will blow it out of the water with speed and your customers will be more than fine with the color. We print mostly wraps and have no issues matching colors. The extra speed allows you to get it printed faster, so it can start...
  18. Looking at the Epson SureColor S60600

Get it. We have two and will be adding a third soon enough once one of the older 70600 series printers die. Stick with dual CMYK, they fly and the colors will last. The Non-CMYK colors will fade and you'll hardly ever need white or silver inks. You can outsource that if you need it. We print...
  19. How do you categorize and/or organized your samples?

If you have a consistent workflow and specific color profiles, then it should be easy to note which color profile/setting/printer you used for the sample. Just put that in an excel sheet or write it on the order. We cut the printer settings notes off the job after it is printed and apply it to...

Call Trigon Imaging 513-965-6116 and ask for Eric. He knows these things inside and out. Our new one is running GREAT with Onyx and barcodes.
