Forget the adhesive, it's not safe. You need to use fastener to attach it to the wall. Tell him no.

It's hit or miss. I've hand lettered them and decaled them with success but most are full of plasticizers to keep them soft which causes problems with adhesion.

Looks like banner fuzz on the head. Clean it.

No lam. Use inkjet material.
