  1. Cleaning solution

The cleaning solution pumps into the cap only during the custody and nozzle washes. During cleanings it does not.
  2. need printhead and installation

Also, don't tighten it down too much. The manifold should not look bent after installing it.
  3. CutContour not recognized in Onyx Poster shop

Make sure the CutContour is setup as a spot color and not process. Maybe the setting got changed by accident somehow?
  4. Need Help Mimaki CJV150 Ink buildup behind head on carriage

Unfortunately the capping adjustment really only tells the carriage where to stop in certain parts of the cleaning cycle. To get the cap more centered you want to take a look at the part of the carriage that hits the station. Yours looks like it hitting late. I've even shimmed that area before...
  5. XC-540 Need Help

Air dusting with a normal air can shouldn't harm anything. You just want to get dust and debris out of there that may be causing a short or bad connection. You might have a blown transistor on that board judging by the picture. I don't see any burn marks but it can be damaged internally. I do...
  6. Need Help Mimaki CJV150 Ink buildup behind head on carriage

I would take the carriage cover off and make sure you don't have a leaking damper or something. The cap top seems to be off center as well. It doesn't have to be perfect but yours is very close to the edge of the head which could be causing ink to squirt out during the cleaning cycles.
  7. XC-540 Need Help

You've got a short somewhere in the system. Usually it's going to be around the head cables and the boards they connect to. Look for ink splatter, damage, or corrosion on the cable leads and replace as needed. Never hurts to air dust the connectors too. Just make sure that you unplug the machine...
  8. JFX200EX cleat issues

I was going to say head as well. I've had similar issues with JFX200 installs with the white and it ended up being the head. But it seems like you've already tried that. If it were me I would make sure the firmware is up to date. The Ricoh Gen 5 heads have had a couple revisions that required...
  9. Roland SP540v Banding

Other than the deflecting nozzles, it looks like the ink isn't curing well. Try upping the heat settings and maybe try another profile. A feed calibration is in order for sure.
  10. Can someone please walk me through: subtank refill

The machine doesn't actually know what percentage of it is full. It just guesses and when the high sensor trips, it goes to 100%. Since yours is stalling at 98% my best guess would be a clogged valve, bad high sensor, or even the cartridge being empty and not flagging the machine properly so...
  11. need printhead and installation

The only reason I don't post prices is because we end up getting calls from people who saw a post from 10 years ago and the price has changed drastically.
  12. need printhead and installation

We have the head in stock here in Denver and it comes with 2 free dampers. Maybe try Jim Hancock for the install if you haven't found one yet.
  13. How to lock a preset into Flexi for printing

Whoops I forgot a step. Go the the setup menu and click default job properties. A window will pop up like a normal job. There you can setup all the settings and there will be a button in the bottom right corner to set the default.
  14. How to lock a preset into Flexi for printing

Get all of your settings where you want them and then there is a button on the bottom right of the window called, "Set as default." Click that and it will now default to whatever you set it.
  15. Mutoh 1614

The 1614 has a DX5 head in it and most parts are still available. It is pretty old however if that's your budget and it's in good condition, it's probably worth it.
  16. Roland Sp540v Print Head Issue

Clean the cap tops, wipers, and wiper scraper really well. Then take a look at the bottom of the print heads and clean any ink build up you see where the cap normally makes contact with the head. Avoid the nozzles at the center of the head surface and just clean ink build up around the...
  17. Question New JV100-160

Good info. We had a few hiccups with our first few installs as well but once they were figured out, it's been smooth sailing. Sounds like Mimaki jumped the gun just a little bit and hadn't worked out all the bugs. It's pretty rare for them as older models worked well on day one. I chalk it up...
  18. Mimaki CJV 150 expired ink

People do it all the time. Give it a gentile shake before putting it in. Just keep in mind that if you do end up having issues with the head clogging etc., the ink will be the first suspect. So it's not recommended but usually it's not a problem.
  19. Roland SP540v Banding

It looks like you have some deflection in every color which will cause banding for sure. I would clean all of the maintenance parts really well. Cap tops, wipers, bottom of the head where the cap top meets the head. Make sure there is no ink build on any of those items. Then I would do a head...
  20. mimaki jv33 160

No you're fine. You can post whatever you want! Just got to keep the competition honest is all.
