Is there a good masking to protect vinyl from matthews paint without bleeding. I have had some luck with a product called oramask that is blue but it leaves adhesive on the vinyl.
Ally Wholesale would be your best bet for standard channel letters. My company focuses on trimless edge channel letters if you want something a little fancier. www.jigsign.com We are located outside of Dallas amd Ally Wholesale is near San Antonio.
The best Clincher is the Norlok. https://norlok.com/product/letterlok/ I wouldn't buy anything from Computerized Cutters. The advantage of a clincher is that they don't use consumables. But they are a little slow and putting in the wrong gauge of material can break the machine...
Hello JBurton, I own a small company that specializes in trimless channel letters that can be fabricated with clean edges and even illumination similair to the aforementioned acrylic block letters but with some distinct advantages.
Check with Apex and Wicox in San Antonio. They upgraded to SDS Automation Benders and might still have and Accubend collecting dust. Not sure which models.
I'm wondering what would be the most effective way to market a new wholesale product to the sign industry. We are located in the Dallas area and make specialty channel letters--essentially nicer looking channel letters without trim cap. We are UL listed and our trimless letters can be made...
My background is in automation and so is my expertise. Even hand tools can be quite expensive. I use pipes of different radii, thumbs, and a variety of pliers to fine tune a bent letter. Sign shops have mechanized tools that will flange and notch a letter. A brake of some sort is pretty...
For automated benders, Accubend sales an okay entry level machine for basic block letters without difficult font styles but I have heard of many customer complaints with the management and customer support. CLN is better and have a pretty good bender especially for doing large radius letters...
Any good paint options out there maybe at Napa for painting channel letters? I'm hoping to lightly sand Alumet letter coil and then use an auto paint to match color I need.
Can the vinyl really have the backing peeling off and then rolled onto a sheet of acrylic and not crack or flake after being painted? It seems like printing would be ideal but the plans do call to have them painted exact same color as the return.....
Sorry to jump in but will the flex additive work to paint perforated vinyl? I'm trying to figure out how to paint a white perforated vinyl a pantone color and then apply it over the face of the sign.
Since I'm just doing the fabrication portion, I need to include basic installation instructions for UL requirements and wanted to get something that looked at least semiprofessional. I doubt any installer will even look at them but you never know. My design skills are pretty shabby so I was...
