That is what I would consider.....Option #1 & 2...BUT your quality will put you out of their price range, so you would lose the job because your quality is too good.

I think it is irrelevant what the competition is charging. One should know what the running costs of their own business is and should charge accordingly. If you start competing then you are going down the same old road to bankruptcy.

Potential customers who come in and ask for a price and artwork??? Can't have them both for free, and if you let them know then it soon sorts the sheep from the goats! If you have already done work for him under an agreement, then he owes you money that you should follow through with.
The roller would have looked better turned vertical with the name broken into different typefaces. There is also one I did for a client a while back. You may get inspiration from it, but I hate copy wrapped in a circle which he requested.
