Not on the newer machines, like the FC9000. You adjust depth to the depth of the material you are cutting: plain vinyl, laminated vinyl, vinyl with 10mm polycarbonate lamination (floor graphics), etc...

Missing a bit of information on what you are doing, but quick tip is you can apply reflective vinyl onto a wrap vinyl (like Arlon Cast Wrap SLX) to make it easier to apply onto the contours of a vehicle.

For small runs we have done in shop. Printed sign on coro with an outline and trimmed to outline using an exacto. For big runs we farm them out.
