  1. Stupid stupid printer

Yes, you're right, but you can ignore it (just enter). But: with the new latex there is no waste ink bottle anymore. The user will get rid of the waste ink when replacing the maintenance cartridge.
  2. Stupid stupid printer

    Roland have no warning too.
  3. HP Latex 280 vs. Mimaki JV34-260

I work at an HP-Dealer, and some time ago (I think 2013) a customer had a demonstration with a Latex 28500 in our office. He had a look to a Mimaki 104" too before. After leaving our office, he have compared the prints with the mimaki prints and have decided for the Latex 28500/280 because of...

Adrian Frutiger, famous Designer of fonts like Frutiger, Avenir, Univers, Roissy and much more, has died this weekend in an old people's home near Bern / Switzerland. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adrian_Frutiger
  5. Will older Flexi work on WIndows 10 ?

You will run in problems with Flexi 7.6 with Windows Vista or higher. Flexi 7 has started in 2002, Flexi 8 is available since 2006. Flexi 7.6 is a really old version.
  6. Anyone have old software?

Ask a dealer for a dongle replacement. Will cost money, but not as much as a new version or an upgrade. An Upgrade is possible too even if a dongle is damaged, as long as you can send it back.
  7. Advice for HP latex 310

Re-calibration is enough to minimize the color deviation. But directly after the upgrade, the printer needs a few square meters to reach it's best printing quality.
  8. Advice for HP latex 310

We had two release candidates in use during the last 4 - 5 weeks, and have equipped a few customers printers with that firmware. It really looks like that it works now. That firmware upgrade could lead to little colour deviations, HP suggests reprofiling. After the firmware upgrade is done, the...
  9. Advice for HP latex 310

A known problem. There will be a firmware-upgrade shortly (during the first days of september) which should solve that.
  10. LOST power on mutoh 1204

Cool. Thank you for the feedback. I'm shure it haven't needed the whole night  .
  11. LOST power on mutoh 1204

Just pull the power plugs, wait a few minutes and connect it again.
  12. FB550 vs FB750

One big benefit of the Scitex Printers is that they print easily (with camera registration) up to 9 sheets (even for different jobs and of different sizes) side by side at the same time, and that a new media "row" can be loaded during printing an other, for continuous printing of a higher number...
  13. Perpetual Flexi 11 License Upgrading to 12

It is not free. Ask your SAi-Dealer.
  14. Summa Support Question

The plotter itself would be compatible with Windows 8, as long as you have a compatible interface card (mostly RS232C) and a compatible Flexi (Flexi 11 works with Windows 8). The connectivity to the operating systems do not depend on the firmware version. If you mean you can do a test cut, does...
  15. Roland SC 540 Versaworks dongle

You don't need to use VersaWorks for that printer, a lot of other RIP-Software too have drivers for the SC. These printers were delivered with Colorip, a Wasatch Softrip OEM, perhaps check there for a cheap software solution.
  16. Testing Caldera with L360 600dpi question

You can't set the PRINTING-Resolution for the 360, in nearly every print mode, the Latex 360 prints with 1'200x600dpi. The Print Modes differ from the number of Passes. Because of the printer is a Contone-Printer, the RIP won't generate halftone data as it does for most other printers. The RIP...
  17. about to buy a new machine what do you recommend

For my opinion, the successor of the HP 5000 are the HP Designjets Z6200, Z6600 or Z6800 (as a Photo Printer with pigmented ink). But today it is possible to print cheaper with latex.
  18. L360 Ink Pooling

The head alignment plot is not ink limited. As long as the head adjustment runs to a "successful"-Message, anything is ok. If you have that in regular prints, you perhaps print with a wrong profile. In this case you should test another one.
  19. FB500 double sided registration

For Jigs, the camera registration is useless, because the camera just register a few reference points. For this, I would use a Template.
  20. FB500 double sided registration

Because of camera-based media registration and enhanced position repeatability by using alignment pins, double sided printing will work fine especially with a FB500.
