  1. Capping Station Pads swelling? Solution here.

Ok, be aware, we were using an etched brass mesh. You dont want any wires poking up to damage the head. Good luck!
  2. Capping Station Pads swelling? Solution here.

Your feedback is appreciated. Please take good notes and pics and forward them back to Mutoh Customer Care.
  3. Capping Station Pads swelling? Solution here.

Apparently they have stopped making the brass mesh that we have been using, and so they are searching for another source. I suggested that they look up McMaster-Carr. My understanding is that they take out one pad and leave one pad in and put the mesh over that.
  4. Capping Station Pads swelling? Solution here.

In all fairness, sometimes there is only one tech in house here. We have a number of techs, but they do go out on service calls, perform training, refurbish equip, etc, etc... That service tech just happens to be the biggest customer advocate in service, and goes out of his way, nights and...
  5. Falcon Jr 38 Memory question

Adding additional memory will not change anything. Firmware only uses a very small amount of memory to buffer the info sent to it by the RIP, no matter how much memory is installed. If you are having pausing, then that is mostly like a network/communications issue.
  6. Mutoh 1614 not turning on

I believe it resets a thermal overload in the main power supply. Which apparently it cant do while powered up.
  7. Should I just go with 4 color printing instead of 6?

It would if your Lc and Lm were out of alignment.
  8. Should I just go with 4 color printing instead of 6?

Lc and Lm are just diluted C and M. So there is no gain in color gamut. What it does, a jhilldesigns explains, is give smoother gradients and better flesh tones by 'smoothing' out the color transitions due to the size of the droplets. For instance, the ValueJets are 4 color with a very...
  9. get the name and email address to every visitor to your site....

I remember chuckling when I though one of our emails lists and saw 'spamfrommutoh', knowing jiarby, I knew just what he was up to. It certainly made me think. We do a lot of e-blasts and I am signed up for many forums threads and discussion, so I get a lot of spam. I try to guide our group...
  10. mutoh falcon problems!

My understanding (sorry, really not up to speed on this, just what I have read here) of the issue with some of these carts is that they are becoming disconnected allowing air in the lines. If they are pushing themselves out, you should have bubbles in the airlines between the ink carts and...
  11. Mutoh Rj6100 - Need help - Please advise

It is the printer that the Falcon Outdoor Series was based on. Make sure it does what you need it to do, so see it print on the media you want. I had a 4100 before joining Mutoh. It is a good machine, but the new machines are much easier to get great results off of. Mutoh does have a 42"...

  14. Print Head Ranking

The head ranking is critical for optimal varible dot performance. The formation and placement of the various drop sizes depends on the head ranking that testing determined the head to perform at. While at first glance you may not notice, across the board you will get more even consistant...
  15. lines of ink build up on print????

Often times, you can clean the media in a small place with alcohol and let it dry. Mark the area you cleaned. If it prints better in that area, probably contamination or plasticizer migration.
  16. mutoh falcon problems!

You should be able to buy them from the same great folks at Signwarehouse who are helping you out already. If the leak is before the damper you can just look for bubbles in the ink like. If it is at or after the damper, you wont really be able to see it, though.
  17. mutoh falcon problems!

    GREAT! Good luck!
  18. mutoh falcon problems!

Sounds like an air leak. If you overtighten the fittings you can distort or damage the orings.
  19. Ok guys, I need some help here...

Start a soak and rewet with fresh cleaning solution every 20 minutes or so. If after a couple of hours you get no more new nozzles, the head could be damaged or unrecoverable.
  20. Valuejet 1204

That is perhaps the easiest. Here is the standard method. http://www.mutoh.com/kb/entry/43/
