  1. Firetruck Font???

I haven't ever seen a font with "E"s like this... have you?
  2. Funny Serif

The "f" has a funny little part where it takes a turn towards the top, but the rest of the letters look pretty close to Cheltenham.
  3. Funny Serif

I keep finding very similar fonts, but can't nail this one down. Have to match existing signs with new signs.
  4. if I were to buy a new Mimaki, how do I deal with the old files?

Keep using your same RIP if you can, We run Onyx RIP here for all of our printers. (HP, Mimaki, Epson)
  5. Mimaki CG-160fx Plotter trouble

Get a magnifying glass or loupe and look at your blades. I am willing to bet that both are bad. We go through a lot of vinyl here and sometimes the Mimaki plotters blades just randomly break. You shouldn't need your blade to be sticking out that far, but we normally run on 100 setting on the...
  6. looking for knife that can cut backing paper.

Yes, definitely the YelloTools one with the teflon pads.
  7. gerber embosstrack48

You can put the software/dongles on ebay, as they are worth decent change to same money off an upgrade to newer gerber software. The hardware.... might be good for parts. Gerbers run forever and users are VERY faithful so someone may need them.
  8. Construction zone sign material

    PP Board? (lol) http://www.ptonline.com/products/hollow-pp-board-is-one-inch-thick
  9. Construction zone sign material

    Alumacore?
  10. Corel Gurus

Can you use a rounded dashed-line stroke following the center of the line, and then do a shape merge (pathfinder tool in Illustrator) and only keep the overlapping areas? (Sorry, I have never used Corel, but I know this is how I would do it in Illustrator)
  11. New Ford Aluminum Trucks - No Magnets - Options?????

We have used some of the "non-adhesive" sticky vinyl before, and while it works great for smooth surfaces, I would not think that it would work well for a moving vehicle; especially one where the driver is installing it their self.
  12. Boat Wrapping problem with cleaning boat.

Would Ghost Off work the same way it does on old box trucks in this instance?
  13. How to find service for a Mimaki in Charlotte, NC

I know a great local independent Mimaki tech. Not sure if he travels as far south as you are, but he MIGHT. I will PM you.
  14. How/where to sell an HP Latex?

We have a HP Latex 360 here that we are looking to sell, but I am looking for direction of where to list it to help get it out of here! I was going to post it on this site but I am not a premium member. Not really wanting to deal with the craigslist-crowd tire kickers.
  15. Who you gonna call....

It's hard to see in the photo but I've seen way worse before, at least it's just banner. I have had handprints on 680 towards the end of the roll during printing a whole new roll... And I THINK they've cleared up the monster mosquitos we used to get in rolls!
  16. S30670 slows down while printing

We have two S60670 series printers running over a fast network and have zero speed issues; they fly. We print LARGE files all day; but we also have dual SSD drives, mega RAM, etc in our RIP computers.
  17. Printer Disposal

Put them on Craigslist. Or offer them to a local makerspace if there is one close; they could re-purpose/recycle the servo motors, etc from the printer into useful projects.
  18. Free Stuff For Y'all

Spartan Service Body for Ford Econoline cutaway chassis. Artwork at 1/20 scale.
  19. Latest edge lit project...

I saw this one also, but it lacks any info. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p8gj01VZQqA I would just put a hidden button switch on the side of the sign. I'm going to have to try this now.
  20. Hp Latex 360 printer fumes

That is almost exclusively what we run here, and the two of us who run the machine here could never stand to be in the print room while it was running. It irritated our throats more than anything.
