  1. Epson Error Codes?

Thank you! Thank You! Do you have the complete code chart or a tech manual? I would REALLY appreciate a copy!
  2. Epson Error Codes?

Our Epson S70670 has been giving us random errors between prints which cause us to have to reboot the machine to get it printing again. It says "Circuit Error 142A" (call technician for service, or something similar), but rebooting makes it go away for a day or so, but it is happening more...
  3. Solvent vs Latex.

I would also recommend taking a look at the Epson printers available. I have run Rolands, Mimakis, HPs and Epsons. We have two Epsons running now, and an HP for sale.
  4. Printed 3M dual color film, liquid laminated, I need input...

if you have a paint department, why not just spray it with clear coat instead of liquid laminate?
  5. Need a fresh perspective for this next move

Take a look at the Epson printers. We run two of them here and they really aren't that bad to have indoors near you unless you're running them both on dark inks for extended periods. We run a LOT of white ink through them also, beautiful prints. The ink is DRY and ready to laminate within hours...
  6. Printed 3M dual color film, liquid laminated, I need input...

It will work without runs if they spray it in a few light coats. You wouldn't want to do liquid laminate on vehicle window perf, but in this instance it would work fine.
  7. Fellers is too Funny.

I have seen them done RIGHT, and suggested we get into it here at some point but we are still currently commercial vehicle graphics only. When done right it holds up well and also looks great.
  8. Mimaki JV400LX Series

This is interesting to read, I thought Mimaki stopped all sales of these and assumed they recalled the rest. Hopefully I'm wrong and they are able to make a comeback with these.
  9. What product, best protects vinyl against UV rays and other damages???

if you're wanting to protect calendared graphics.... you might want to rethink that and start off using cast products. We only use 3M materials here (unless there is a specialty film like phototex/wallpaper required), and I would recommend a laminate film like 8518/8519/8520 for UV protection.
  10. End of the industry

Keep your eyes open; they're printing buildings all around the world. You're just not in that industry so you don't hear much of it. I remember that, but never heard of it again. This looks very similar.
  11. Taping Window perf?

Print it all as one piece, dont mask it; it'll never line up perfectly, and this is just a short-term bus wrap. Install the wrap, then hack the perf into manageable sections (like 2 windows at a time) then slap it on.
  12. sp300 print head

Call Chris Wallace 513-317-3351. Local, independent Mimaki technician.
  13. Buying new Printer..WHICH ONE?!!

Inconsistent color. Very inconsistent color. We do a LOT of repairs for large fleet jobs, and a printer that couldn't print a repair panel a week (let alone months or a year) from now doesn't fit in our workflow. Example: We printed a phototex wall mural in 10 qty ~4x8' panels, one panel needed...
  14. sp300 print head

where are you at in KY?
  15. Buying new Printer..WHICH ONE?!!

You wont be unhappy with your Epson, We have just purchased and installed our 2nd one here, and our old Mimaki sits idle unless we have a banner to print, and the HP 360 is tarped up and just sitting in the install bay. (anybody who loves latex printers want to buy one for a great price?) The...
  16. What kind of vinyl is that?

Only way I could think of getting close is with printing a mixture of light black and white together onto clear. You'd never be able to do anything close with frosted as there is no way to leave minuscule areas of "clear".
  17. Contour cutting Glass Adhere?

What plotter? For some materials on the sprocket fed plotter you have to do multi-cut at lighter pressure to achieve good results. However, a friction fed plotter would never be able to do well with multi-cut.
  18. Fellers is too Funny.

I wish we had another distributor closer to us. We have had an unbelievable amount of issues with Fellers here, but no other distributor is close enough for same-day order pickup/delivery.
  19. Handpainted font?

Brittanic Bold is kind of close.
  20. Cutting down stickers

We have one of these; it is WONDERFUL for making straight cuts. http://go-foster.com/products/cutterstrimmers/precisioncutterbars/evolutione2series/
