  1. Summa Cutter

Be careful. Older summa tangential plotters sometimes have problems with a constant cutting depth because of the cutting head is worn-out. Buying a spare tangential cutting head could cost more than the value of the plotter. You can change this plotters to the much cheaper drag knife head, but...
  2. Pissed Off XC-540

I know this effect: this happens when a data cable to the print head is not correctly connected or the cable/connectors are damaged.
  3. Transporting HP L25500 printer

We are HP-dealers (Z-, T- and L up to 280 (L28500)) in switzerland. We assemble all printers we sell in our workshop and deliver them in working condition with own vans. Things to take care of: On the right front part of the foot is a plastic part mounted by one screw. This plastic part is...
  4. Unplugged cable cards to black and cyan print heads, now won't print?

Sorry, english is not my native language, perhaps there is a misunderstanding. Of course fuses don't "blow". How do you check that the fuses are ok? When the fuses are ok and the printhead is filled with ink, but the heads don't print, you should be aware of that something other than the fuses...
  5. Unplugged cable cards to black and cyan print heads, now won't print?

Head rank reset will not lead to anything. Check the fuses with a voltmeter ... perhaps you have an issue which blows the fuses everytime after replacing it.
  6. Black & Cyan print heads not working... replace fuses and able to pull ink

Have you checked the fuses? Perhaps something different is wrong what blows the fuses everytime you replace them? Can be easily done with most Voltmeters. Have you pulled ink through the heads with a syringe at the tubes of the cap tops? For being shure that the heads are filled with ink...
  7. Color variance in "nested" job

It could happen often that color varies a little from the left to the right side of the print, what could lead to strange effects when panelling. To avoid that every RIP-Software I know have a feature to flip every panel against each other to allow mounting panels right to right and left to left...
  8. Flexcut

In this case Flexcut will not work for you. A Flatbed-Cutter will not cost over 100'000
  9. Flexcut

For the main application FlexCut is intended for the cut is very clean: when cutting labels out of self-adhesive vinyl, the vinyl will be completely cutted ... only the backing will not. So the label itself will be perfect. If cutting media without a support which holds the main cutout in place...
  10. Summa D series vs S series

The D120R, D140R and D160R have two X-Motors too, the D60R have one only. Thank your for answering about the D- and T-S-Classes, I haven't seen your answer before writing mine :) .
  11. Summa D series vs S series

No. There are SummaCut-Drag Knife Plotters, and S-Class Plotters available with Drag- or Tangential Knifes. Because the question was "D or S", and that it seems that there are just "more bells and whistles" at the S-Models (S Drag- and Tangential Plotters are the same except the cutting head)...
  12. Summa D series vs S series

The main differences between SummaCut D and S-Class are as follows: Appearance/Finish As can be seen on the pictures of the website, the stands of the S-Plotters are much more massiv/stable as the stands of the SummaCuts. You can see and feel the difference for example during high speed...

  17. Summa D60 Issues

You will find Windows 7-compatible software at the summa website. Try Summa Cutter Control (installed through Summa Cutter Tools) to connectto the cutter and try to operate it. The blocks and messages are correct except that it takes 20 minutes until booting (perhaps you have meant 20 secs?).
  18. serious printing problems with my roland cj 500 converted

It is a known problem with this generation of roland machines: as soon as you connect devices through a parallel cable which are not grounded (specially little printservers and notebook computers with no ground wire on power supply), the pump motor makes bad noise, but won't work. If...
  19. what I learned this morning by trial and error

You would not have that trouble with OPOS X, with a SummaCut D140R, if you know how to calibrate it.
  20. serious printing problems with my roland cj 500 converted

I doesn't understand what you have meant. Have you disconnected the parallel printer cable (or parallel printserver) from the printer? The cable outside, at the back of the printer? Have you tried THEN to do a cleaning or so to check the pump?
