I just launched a Kickstarter project to bring back my R/C model airplane kits. Here is a link to the page. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/827919495/adrians-model-airplane-kit-cutting-project
Signs have been slow in the winters so I though I would see about getting my kit business back...
I'm looking into re-launching some of my old r/c airplane kits. Part of the kits was an 8 1/2" x 11" decal sheet. They need white in them and I sold my ALPS printer so I need someone with a printer capable of printing white on 2 mil clear vinyl. What is the best technology for this sort...
I'm getting short sighted I guess so I would like to be able to increase the pick radius of my pick tool in Corel 14. I can't find anything wandering around in the software. Anyone know the secret.

I have a customer who wants his logo in a format that has a transparent background so He can use it Word or Paint (I forget which) for "things". I have Corel and Illustrator but I can't make it so it looks good. (I can't make one at all in Illy... but I'm challenged in that software.) I get...
Here's another recent one. This one is about 6 feet wide. The body is built up wood and Alupanel with HDU oval panels glued on. The post are a bit unusual in that they are not square. I needed the post to fit between the ovals but a 4" post looked too thin for the sign. So I just made them 6"...
N'other one done. The thing is 8 x 5 feet, single sided. The main structure is 2 x 4 pressure treated lumba with Alupanel skins. The lettered bit is 1" HDU glued on to the main panel. It's a pretty shade of orangy coral red but it took 9 coats to cover. One of those things that I kept thinking...
I can barely read this forum, even with my glasses on. Is there a way to change the font size without affecting any other websites? Actually all the elements on this site seem very small...

Haven't been here in ages. It looks like printedsigns101 since I last stopped by. To combat this I hope you will click my website link and look at some hand carved stuff. www.showpiecesigns.com
Let me know if the site works for you.

Haven't posted anything here in ages. So... here is a logo I did for a local TKD school.
The colours are from the chest pads and helmets used in fighting... one combatant would wear the red and the other would wear the blue.(in case you're not familiar with TKD.)
The big V is supposed to be a...
I'm used to using Netscape Composer but it's pretty ancient and limited. I also use Xara but it's weird when it comes to uploading pages or making changes. I'd like something like Composer that allows WYSIWYG along with being able to edit HTML. I don't want to modify templates... I just want to...
I need some 14" Gemini letters (about 64 pc.) in brushed aluminum with the foam backer for interior use. The problem is I need them up in 2 weeks and Gemini says at least 4 weeks lead time. I can cut them out myself if I have to or find someone else who can route them for me...
Anyone here...
I need to make some isle marker signs for a drug store and it has 40 thou styrene panels that are supposed to be slid into "j track" to secure them yet allow them to swapped around if required.
It would be like Zip track bottom strip only smaller... I think.
Check out the dude on the right side of the first picture. That gives you an idea of how big this sign is for a hand carved sign. This is the biggest one I've done so far. It's 12 feet wide and over five feet high.(the panel itself) It weighs a bit over 500 pounds.
It was a tough one to carve...
Just finished making some big molding for a fairly large carved sign. I used a table saw to make the cove by running the molding sideways across the blade. The molding is 8" x 5". The long run is 11 feet and I knew I couldn't miter the ends with my bandsaw if they were that long so I broke it...
A member asked me what tools I used to carve lettering and I couldn't find the old post about it so here is a new one. And some pictures of carving an N into 15 pound Cora foam HDU.
The pic with the fingers shows how the flat back of the chisel indexes itself on the previously carved part of...
I got dizzy a week ago for no reason. Fell right on the ground. Kept having spells all that day so I went to the doctor. She said,"You have Vertigo." ( I thought Vertigo was an old Jimmie Stewart movie.) She said it would go away in a week...
It's still here and is kicking my butt. It's hard...
I didn't have this one installed on my computer. Customer was surprised. Anyone know where I can find this? It's for the top of a pimped out rusty Cavalier windshield.
Just finished this one up. (took a while for the customer's deposit to show up)
The panel is HDU about 18" x 30". The boat is HDU. The wave under the boat is Magic Sculpt. Letters were carved with a box cutter and gilded.
