Wishin' Fred would install a "like" button...but for now, this will have to do :thumb: HB
  2. looking for help

Travel up to seven days a week sounds like full time....just wonderin'. How about some more details? JB
  3. What's your most profitable item? Why?

I don't think anybody is going to divulge their competetive advantage with these things, so it'll be up to you to see what works best for you and your markets. JB
  4. What's your most profitable item? Why?

Fund generation products...it helps our customers raise money for their school, library, hospital, etc. They require very little selling on our part. JB
  5. Thinking of taking the plunge and getting away from Corel

I'm all for jumping to Adobe. But to be sure, download the free trial at Adobe and give it a whirl for 30 days. During that time, begin doing comparisions of the (short term and long term) costs and benefits of migrating. Believe it or not, I'm considering spending $800 on another design...
  6. What's your margin?

Are you just "kickin' tires" to see whether this business is profitable? JB
  7. Paid order, customer says keep the product. Go figure.

Just curious...but how can you take a deposit without first getting complete contact information? JB
  8. Paid order, customer says keep the product. Go figure.

I can see future trouble here. Wise business practice says that you still need to ship them the shirts (unfinished) with proof of delivery (and get a signed denial if they don't accept). That way, the burden of proof is on them and it doesn't look like you didn't hold up your end of the...
  9. Recovering a file

Bummer...whenever I'm doing something critical, I like to manually save it every couple of minutes and make new copies as I go. In addition to the file name, I like to include the date and the time so I can go back to any point along the way without a lot of hassle. Typically, a file name...
  10. Go to the flea market guy.

I wouldn't have gotten as far as the layout. JB
  11. The Economy Is Saved! Seriously!

And while he's off watching the football game, somebody is doing a little quarterback sneak of their own...by emptying his bacon trailer. JB
  12. Everybody rebrand yourself with the current trend

    I wouldn't shame myself...or my logo. JB
  13. The Economy Is Saved! Seriously!

Absolutely brilliant marketing...I'll bet you a hundred pounds (of bacon, of course) that their bacon dollar will go much further than the regular greenback. JB
  14. eBay...

I'm remorseful of all those wasted years...when I used to believe that branding was all about differentiation. JB
  15. ESP? this happens quite often for me

Yep...but only in reverse. I was thinking about all the money I've made lately and the IRS called. JB
  16. Photoshop technique

    Glowing Edges? JB
  17. Poor way to end an email?

I just received an email from a supplier who has been working for six weeks on a special substrate. I expect it to take two days in shipping, and on top of that, I need to complete and deliver the project late next week for a special dedication. Here's the ending sentence of his email I...
  18. The Gentle giant and his invention changed the world 54 years ago TODAY!

I am amazed by those things...especially when I look at the chip in my 8 gig flash drive that's no bigger than my little fingernail. JB
  19. I hate a fly

My only disappointment is that all the flies seem to be hiding since I brought it home...big bummer, I was really getting into this. JB
  20. Old meets new

BTW...we still use our stamping press to create our embossed pocket folder marketing materials. The guy in the letter press video is right...we live in a tactile world, and people still enjoy the feel of a quality piece of artwork....something that can not be achieved with 100% digital. JB
