Do they want a weathered look? Sounds like it. In which case I would just apply a clear penetrating preservative (after testing to see if it changes the white wash color). If they want a more finished look then the two part marine clear is the best bet. In either case it will require maintenance.

Depends on whether it's a print or just cut vinyl. Gerber 3M 220 has been a reliable product for many years.

I agree, for best results one of "real ones like SignGold or Real Gold. Second best and much cheaper RTape VinylFX. And clear cast overlay with trap on all of them

A little clear silicone wiped into the seam would eliminate any water penetration....but we never worried about it. I learned signbrads way, glue in place and then add another bead for good measure.

You can't use the software unless the printer is turned on? That is not right. You should be able to design and save jobs any time, as long as the dongle is installed.

The shocks can be purchased at an automotive parts store. They are fairly simple to replace. Be sure to clean the printhead with only wipes made for cleaning electronic printheads, they are used on barcode readers and other devices so readily available. Always clean the head by gently wiping...

I agree, I hate chrome lettering, but do it when the client insists. The problem with picking a color to outline/shade it is in some light a dark color will disappear into the dark reflection of the chrome, and in another light a light color will disappear into the brightness of the chrome.

If it's tile or stone, I think VHB & Lexel would hold it fine. A few studs if you are really worried, but then there will be permanent holes in what looks like an expensive wall. If drywall studs & silicone

Like has been said, either will work. Especially on a three legged set up, but it really depends on the digging. If you can get 30-36" down and the ground is hard concrete is optional.

I have used banner tape in a pinch. But I think you should be fine if the letters are that small. You can also put painters tape on them so they stay put till installed.

Lexel takes longer than an hour to cure, probably more like 24 hours. Which is why I usually use it in combination with some VHB tape.
