I think it's because a large percentage of the new sign businesses are only looking at it as a way to make money (some actually think "easy" money"). Then there's the percentage of shops that don't care, just want to knock it out and the percentage who haven't got a clue.

I hate clear app tape in general, only use it when I absolutely have to. And that is a low tack tape, try some regular R tape.
