I think it's because a large percentage of the new sign businesses are only looking at it as a way to make money (some actually think "easy" money").

Yea, I have some permanent banner mounts that are nothing more than eyebolts. They are smaller banners though and set up with pole pockets that have the corresponding hardware that clip to the eye bolts. Also had a pretty big banner with eyebolts & zip ties, but they always seem to get wrinkles...

If this is going to a constantly changing banner you should look at a system of some type that doesn't require screwing/unscrewing for every change.
