I looked that part number up in my price list from Mutoh and it doesn't show up which usually means they don't sell it. It would be interesting to know where you bought yours from. Was it a dealer or after market? I get people asking every now and then.

That type of bulk system is great except it's one weakness is if any air gets into the mid cartridge, it throws the pressure off. My guess would be it wasn't completely air purged during the install.

In that case, your computer's IP needs to change to match the first 3 sets of numbers but the last one should be different. I am assuming that your computer's IP is something like 192.168.2.250. You need to change that 2 to a 1. Are you setup through a router or directly to the printer?

Mutohs have always had issues with the IP address resetting for whatever reason. Try using the default IP address so that if it does reset it will always be the same. 192.168.1.253.

You can only buy the bottom bearings separately. To get the other ones you need to buy the entire carriage. That being said, if you can find the proper bearings I'm sure there's a way to install them but from the looks of it, it's not an easy job.

Out of the two machine I would recommend the Epson but also look into if you have a Mimaki or Mutoh dealer near you too. You might find a better deal. But people love the Epsons. As far as the computer goes, processor cores don't matter as much as clock speed if you are only running one...

Your printer IP and Computer IP need to have a different last number. Otherwise you get conflicting IP addresses. Change either the printer or computer IP to 192.168.0.2 and it should work. Just make sure if you change the printer IP to reflect that in Versaworks.

With the DX5 Mimaki heads, sometimes the old memory board works and sometimes it doesn't. It depends on how old the head rank on the old head is. If it's too far apart from the new one, it can cause issues.

It means fuse 2 on the slider board is blown. Check the cables that plug into the slider for burns and replace or reinstall any that are damaged or improperly installed. Then replace the fuse.

The R1000 is a fairly high end machine. What's your expected volume? While I have heard good things about the HP, you might want to look at the Mimaki JFX200 which is more of an entry level machine.Slower but easier on the wallet!
