  1. Need Help Mimaki CJV300-160 print quality poor

Try doing an air purge on the bulk system. Over time air can get in and cause pressure issues. I believe they want you to air purge once per year if I remember correctly.
  2. Mimaki's recommendations for maintaining your machine during downtime

Mimaki just released this video for anyone wondering what to do during downtime to keep your printer running properly. Stay safe!

  4. Need Help Cjv150 System Halt (2) 509

Clean your encoder strip and check for any damage. It's an encoder error.
  5. Now its getting bad

It's cause our state lab has done the tests but haven't been confirmed by the CDC yet. They are calling them presumptive cases right now until confirmation is made. Glad we're doing something about it before that though!
  6. S80600 weird effect in white

My first thought is the ink hasn't been agitated in a while. Does the Surecolor agitate automatically or do you have to do it manually?
  7. Anyone used Ainkjet for printer parts?

Compassmicro.com might be able to get one for you. They are the official Epson parts dealer but sometimes are restricted on certain head. Worth a shot.
  8. Need Help Suddenly Lost yellow on CJV30-130

The circle part of the damper should be about half full and it's usually a little lower. You also shouldn't see any air in the ink line above.
  9. Need Help Suddenly Lost yellow on CJV30-130

If you have a CMYKx2 setup one bad damper can affect both channels since they are connected. One way you can test things out is to swab the yellow dampers with another color next to them, run a cleaning cycle, and then print a nozzle check. If the yellow prints in the new position but the other...
  10. Need Help Suddenly Lost yellow on CJV30-130

First thing to check is the ink cartridge. Sometimes the cartridge will be empty and not flag the machine properly which will cause the yellow to back up. Other than that, you might need new dampers.
  11. CJV 150-160 CAP Adjustment

Quoting the tech manual I see! lol
  12. Can Flexi Print Manager sub light cyan with 50% Cyan?

You could use the color replacement tool and just replace 100% LC with 50% C. Can't do it with gradients and transitions as effectively though. Not sure if the HP heads have variable dot but Epson heads just print a smaller cyan dot to get the same effect.
  13. 1638X Streaking?

That's possible. Have you taken a look at your head cable for damage, ink splatter, or corrosion? Sometimes it can simply be a bad cable. If you need to get a head, we stock them here in Denver and offer free tech support.
  14. Question A serious question..........................

We work in the field fixing printers and 95% of the time we can fix a machine on the first call. If it goes into a 2 or 3 day ordeal we usually cut a few hours off the bill. The thing is that there are a lot of problems that are easy to diagnose but a few issues that can have multiple solutions...
  15. File type for screen printers

With spot colors you could convert the gradients to half tones in illustrator.
  16. Need Help Flexi Program running slow

If you don't need to do any editing, you should just bring the file right into the production manager and that will skip the whole loading issue. If you do need to edit it though, usually slow loading times are due to computer hardware. Did this just start happening out of the blue or have you...
  17. HP FB550 - Ink peeling at edges on ACM signs after only 1 year...

Looks like you are in the merchant list but your status hasn't updated for some reason. I have had a couple features bugging out on me recently too. Signs101Admin
  18. Undefined Media

You want to look for the "Check 5: Adjustment" menu a few menus down.
  19. Undefined Media

Oh you must have the VJ1638UH. That's a hybrid printer that does print on rigid. You can adjust the sensor by going into service mode. Hold the up, right and down buttons while powering on. Once it boots up, go to the adjustment menu. There will be an option in there to calibrate the Rear/Edge...
