  1. Seeking thread that went: raise prices/lose customers/come out ahead

That was the just of it- raise your prices (20?) %- if you lose (30?)% of your customers- you will still be ahead and doing 80% of the work. Thanks Gene

  5. Flexi v7.5 on Windows 7??

I just ordered a Dell Win7 32bit. From what I have determined it 'should' work. I tried on a 64 bit in the 'XP mode' and it worked but I had trouble with networking (very likely solvable). I will post when I figure it out. Talking FlexiPro 7.6 by the way. Gene
  6. VP540 Banding in Magenta only

I started a new thread that *may* or may not have something to do with this problem- the VP has a circular linear scale for the feed direction. Gene
  7. VP feed direction Linear scale. Artbot in please

I started this in the Magenta banding thread- but decided to start a new one. The VP has a feed scale (think linear scale but four inches diameter) on the end of the grit roller shaft. I talked to my tech yesterday and he was surprised to hear that and said most Rolands don't have it. I am...
  8. Triangle Inks

I can't smell it- I have an exhaust fan pulling air at the bottom of a wall beside the printer out of that room to the main area. I find it very durable- can take a print still hot from the printer and spray with alc and rub with a paper towel with *almost* no transfer. I have never used OEM...
  9. Vertigo sucks!

My daughter (partner) gets dizzy spells too- also passes out. Drs can't find anything.

No heads here either- and I do 4 liters a month. "Stories about aftermarket inks messing up machines is experience enough to know i don't want to risk it. If it works, my hats off to you but there is no guarantee. " Stories are stories- experience is experience. The only guarantee you...
  11. Triangle Inks

Incidentally- I am talking a bulk system with MLD inks- cmyk only. I have not heard anything good about EDX. BTW- john1... why would you toss out an opinion in a thread asking for specific info on something you have no experience with?
  12. Triangle Inks

Over 6 years in 2 different rolands (vp540 now) and no problems- love it. Be prepared to make your own profiles tho.
  13. Ruler with cutting blade

How do the sections lock together- that would be my concern- keeping them straight. If you lift the 10 ft (4 sections) in the middle, is it sturdy enough to stand up to a lot of repetitions? Thanks Gene
  14. Download Roland Academy segments?

Kudos to Roland This did work and I spent almost a day reviewing the color related webinars. I have never been able to watch one as it was broadcast- something always interferes but they are worth watching. I am not crazy about people being able to ask questions as the seminar is in...
  15. Weird Cutting Things out of order??

Roland really needs a sequential cut function in VW- although since I bought a GX500 cutter to pair with my VP540 I don't notice the wild end to end motions that I got when cutting with the printer. Still will cut here and there in no apparent patterns tho.
