Over 6 years in 2 different rolands (vp540 now) and no problems- love it. Be prepared to make your own profiles tho.

How do the sections lock together- that would be my concern- keeping them straight. If you lift the 10 ft (4 sections) in the middle, is it sturdy enough to stand up to a lot of repetitions? Thanks Gene

Roland really needs a sequential cut function in VW- although since I bought a GX500 cutter to pair with my VP540 I don't notice the wild end to end motions that I got when cutting with the printer. Still will cut here and there in no apparent patterns tho.
