Yep...and maybe even a :corndog: JB
  2. Need consultant

Careful...you're asking for very "open-ended" credentials here. Choose your consultants very wisely and ask for references. Talk is cheap, mistakes are not. JB

I'm running Windows 7. Where is this located, and how do I access i? Thanks, Jim
  6. Backup proceedure or program for the "uneducated"

I was just doing some research and found that some companies tend to "throttle" back the transfer speed after a pre-determined amount of data. That could prove hurtful since the majority of my data will consist of large .AI files Jim
  7. Backup proceedure or program for the "uneducated"

I've been doing my backups the old fashioned way with external hard drives...basically "copy" and "pasting" the files to copy them onto my backup drives. There must be a better way to do things. I'm running just a single computer and would like to be educated on my options for speeding...
  8. Gold Leafing Incised Concrete

Very cool. As a stone engraver, I'm fascinated at the perfect v-sunk lettering. I noticed a "clue" in the blueprint and so I did some checking and found this: http://www.concreteconstruction.net/Images/How%20to%20Form%20Lettering%20in%20Concrete_tcm45-346429.pdf JB
  9. Waterjet Pickle

I used to do CAD design work at a local shop for their Omax AWJ machine. I looked at the Dardi site and found something a little fishy. Take a look at this link http://en.dardiwaterjet.com/profile/self/application-in-the-metal-machining-field-573d The tweezers pictured at the bottom are...
  10. Waterjet Pickle

Call the manufacturer. If they give you the run around, then send it back and call Omax or Flow. JB
  11. Is customer service really this bad?

I called a supplier inquiring about product "XYZ".... First words out of her mouth were "...Well....have you checked our web site?" After several minutes of waiting on hold, she appears with a "canned sales speech" and said if I'd like to purchase, I could do it right there on the web...
  12. neatdesk.... good or bad? alternatives?

I'm not sure about Neat Dest, or the rest, but with Acrobat, you can assign meta data (key words used to describe the document) within the document that works with your computer's search functions. Even if the document's file name does not contain the key search word you're looking for, it...
  13. neatdesk.... good or bad? alternatives?

If you already have Adobe Acrobat, just use your scanner to make pdf files. It takes just a teeny little bit more effort to organize, but it will do the same thing. I've seen several You Tube videos and even the owners claim that the Neat Desk doesn't always do what it is supposed to do...
  14. Who would be interested

Ditto...look at what customers already do with MS Publisher & Word....oy! JB

  16. FastTrac Business Courses FREE for US Vets

  18. Bronze dedication plaque. RightNOW!

From past experience, typical lead time is usually six weeks, and "rush" is two weeks with a 50% (or more) additional fee. JB
  19. Way too cool Google doodle...

Today's Google doodle is way over the top....there's absolutely no doubt that it out guns the Les Paul guitar doodle. It's a tribute to the inventer of the Moog electronic synthesizer, Robert Moog. Check it out and play with all 21 knobs and a slider...it even lets you "record" UP TO FOUR...
  20. Illustrator CS6: What do YOU think?

It's a free download to try. I'm running a DSL connection and the two gigs took me darn near 8 hours to download. More than likely, I'll always stay one version behind current and only upgrade when absolutely necessary. Last year when I upgraded my PS to CS5, they had it priced for...
