  1. auto insurance claim

Examine your policy and the back side of the check very carefully. Sometimes it states that by siging and cashing the check that you are settling the claim for the amount written on the check....gottcha! And yes, visit your claims adjuster asap! JB
  2. Question for home based businesses

Where's the "like" button for this? JB
  3. Friday the 13th...two days early?

Nope...he was just passing by, and didn't even realize it fell off. As for the hubcap, it's off a Hyundai...sure wishin' it could have been off a Jag or Merceedes...could've pawned it to help pay for the new sign. I'm pricing granite, just for kicks... JB
  4. Friday the 13th...two days early?

My wife looked out the door this morning, just as a passing truck hauling junk drove by. In a split second, she saw a wheel (that was on the bed of the trailer) bounce off, hit the road and then become airborne. After several swift bounces, it managed to hit my humble little engraved limestone...
  5. Question for home based businesses

I saw this years ago, but it still rings true: GOYAKOD Yep....you can find it on google. JB
  6. Question for home based businesses

Awesomely good post. I'm saving this one to a .pdf and tucking it away with the other cool threads I save. If I could add anything, I would suggest that you establish a personal development / continuing education plan, and use your slow times to attend seminars (or better yet, webinars)...
  7. Anyone have tips on wrapping a steel drum?

Hey...do they make a shrink wrap that can be printed? I'm looking at all the stuff on the store shelves...in wierd shaped containers...and they're all printed on shrink wrap that tightly conforms the funkiest of contours. By those standards, a barrel would seem to be the simplest of all...even...
  8. qr codes tip

Good tip...it should appear exactly as if it were printed on your desktop printer. Typically, we all should be working with vectored QR codes which makes editing for various background colors a snap. Most all of the QR code generators have .eps or .pdf output capabilities. The one...
  9. Considering the "V" word...

Absolutely amazing....we've gone from healthy eating...to sterilization...to a flat out total sex change all in one thread! I think that's a record, isn't it?:ROFLMAO: (In all honesty, that v-word crossed my mind after I first posted.....sheesh!) JB
  10. Considering the "V" word...

    Already did that 21 years ago...wishin' I hadn't. JB
  11. Considering the "V" word...

Yeah...me too. But.....I can't even begin to count the number of hours I've spent in hospital waiting rooms. The last time my dad was in the cardiac unit of the hospital getting a pacemaker, I sat out in the waiting room and observed (first hand) who was coming in. They were mostly...
  12. signlab 8 saves files in the wrong directory...sort of

Whenever I save a SL file, it will always try to save it to the directory it last saved something in...not the current directory. Same goes for opening files. Absolutely maddening, I know. JB
  13. Considering the "V" word...

Big amen here...I'm afraid our "entertain me" mentality is to blame for that. Jim
  14. Considering the "V" word...

Heart disease (and heart attacks), stroke, diabetes, kidney failure...you know...just the killers. By themselves, each disease is bad enough. But when you start combining three and four of these together it's nothing more than death on the "installment plan". The parents' kitchen...
  15. Considering the "V" word...

    Thanks for the info... JB
  16. Considering the "V" word...

Vegan vs Vegetarian...there's a difference. Vegans eat absolutly no animal based (non-meat) products such as milk, eggs, cheese, honey, etc... JB
  17. Considering the "V" word...

Yep....I don't quite see me as 100% veg...but I'm sure interested in making the move toward more healthier choices. Jim
  18. Considering the "V" word...

Nope, not vasectomy...but vegetarian. To make a long story short, major health problems further up in my family tree are are rampant and sadly, self-inflicted. Something in the back of my mind has been gnawing at me to start making some major changes, and just this week I stumbled upon...
  19. Gerber Omega

How about selecting your artwork in Omega, ctrl+C (copy) and then paste into a blank Illustrator artboard. I do it all the time with SignLab and it works awesomely well. Matter of fact, I don't even know how to print proofs out of SL...it's just way too easy with Illy...and besides...I can...
